Greetings friends old and new, family, and those who I have some contention with LOL. I haven’t been on here very much due to the heat, ( we have no air conditioner), my physical health, ad a lot of mental ups and downs. This weekend is our local Pagan festival, and my prayers go out to those new to the board. I hope it is awesome! I have been on the board since 2018. We took a break when Covid hit our area.
After much meditation on the whether I wanted to return, I declined. My husband is still on the board to help the new and old members move on without us. I loved what I did in finding presenters and performers. I got to meet some very lovely people!
Here comes the although, the but, an old scratch on the head. I have a soured feeling for a few of the community elders. I also do not understand why no one has pointed this imbalance out before.?? Now let me say again, it was a wonderful experience for me. But I still do not understand the political B.S. that exists and reincarnates in the struggle for which elder, neophyte, group is the best? What’s the best? Have been personally been pigeonholed as a muck raker when I have said something about it.
So called leaders in the community telling people to not go near our vendor spot, don’t purchase a thing... okay, but I was sharing the booth with one other lady. So spreading the manure on me, okay... won’t stop me from rallying for independence, and the uniqueness in honesty, and morality. But my friend was making money for her family and her art is beautiful.
So almost sixth months later the lady responsible apologized to me, Great... right? Well I accepted her apology, even though a public one would be great. She is someone who is a Reiki Master. I admit I am not that knowledgeable on the practice of Reiki. I have read and spoke with other practitioners about it, they say it is all about healing with unconditional love and healing. Sooo in my mind I am thinking how could this woman do this to me? If she believes in unconditional love. She does not know me, at all. I did nothing to her... I even have a small birthday gift for her. The man who barges in and makes a lady cry because he doesn’t like her ideas, during a Public meeting, no less. He wanted the festival...like I said the politics. Now I love politics in the way that candidates debate, bills turn into laws etc.
But The Who is better crap, has to go! We have thousands of people who come to our festival. They need to see real community, real people to speak with, and then our younger need to been given chances to come into our community without judgement and gossip. Anyone else agree? Just so the public knows... my Circle the Circle of Coyote is not a cult. We live together because we want to. Another awesome rumor, LOL.
We ill continue to help out the community of friends that we have made, we will do what we can do, whether it be food for those who need it, clothing for those who have limited attire. An ear for those who truly need someone to listen. I have tried to be a kind person, and still are trying hahaha, but when you have your hand bit, there is some reluctance to open up again.
