A HUGE, HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS to The Taj Mahal Sextet (Taj Mahal, Bobby Ingano, Bill Rich, the late/great Kester Smith, Rob Ickes, Trey Hensley) for winning a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album ("Swingin' Live At The Church In Tulsa") today at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles! This is a well-deserved honor for an ultra-cool recording captured live at Leon Russell's former HQ—The Church Studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma! Taj was also honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy! -Team R&T

A note from Rob:
It's such an honor to win a Grammy—especially with one of our all-time favorite artists: the great Taj Mahal! I want to dedicate this to the great drummer Kester Smith. This was probably one of the last recordings he played on before passing away, and he's been a friend and an inspiration to me for many years.

A note from Trey:
It was an honor of a lifetime to make an album with the great Taj Mahal—and to win a first Grammy as a part of that band and album is the most amazing thing. Thanks, Taj, and thanks to the Recording Academy!
