Where did we go? The truth is we haven't gone anywhere. The event seasons since the pandemic have kept us busy, and business has changed in many ways. It's kept us focused mainly on the tasks at hand. Social media can be exhausting, and our focus has been elsewhere. The disruption caused by COVID-19 has been incredibly inconvenient for everyone, and we know for high school juniors and seniors, this has been especially heartbreaking in unique ways. Not only are they missing out on classes and graduation day, but many will also not have a chance to attend their prom or visit with each other again as a class.

Though it's tough to beat a giant party with all of their classmates, we have been brainstorming on alternative ways we can help students create memories while staying at home and social distancing.

One idea we've been assisting with is a 'virtual prom,' an idea inspired by parents in the Ashland School District. We were asked to decorate a location with some lighting, drape, dance floor lighting, etc. and have our DJs do a live stream performance where students could log on to and watch from home. The idea has blossomed and created options we hadn't thought of just a few weeks ago.

Students would be able to communicate with the DJ and each other to request songs, chat, and exchange stories! We've done a lot of research and ways to make the stream reliable and interactive. We also feel it's important to allow parents and staff have some control over the content produced both by the DJ/Host, as well as the students themselves.

If the students have already bought their prom dresses/suits, this would be an excellent time for them to wear them while listening/dancing to their favorite music being played by a live DJ.

Furthermore, there's an ongoing discussion amongst our partners in the event community to hold a student only celebration during the mid to late summer. This option is dependent on public gatherings being safe to hold once again of course. If you're curious about these ideas, make sure you are on our list of people who want to be updated. We'll let you know.

We had the pleasure of teaming up with Party Gallery to help turn Pacific's Electrical Contractor's warehouse into something magical for their hardworking employee's Christmas Party! We came in and did: drape, lighting, and DJ Taj Mahal was there to help kick off the party! :)

What a transformation!! We recently did: drape, lighting, sound and DJ Kevin Brazzle spinnin' the Christmas tunes for AllCare Health's Holiday event! So much fun to take a room and help turn it into something magical for such lovely people! We look forward to doing it again next year!

Sights and Sounds Present's: 2020 Southern Oregon Wedding Show! The Southern Oregon Wedding Show is the longest-running and largest show of its kind between Redding and Eugene. Vendors from throughout Southern Oregon (and Northern California) come together under one roof not only to offer their goods and services but to also meet, greet, and consult with brides to help them make their wedding day special. Fashion shows, giveaways, and classes take place both days of the event, which is conveniently located at the Medford Armory. ISO host family for Soranon from . 🇹🇭 I've posted about this boy a few times already. That is because he's had several families offer to host but each one has not worked for one reason or another.
Soranon is a 15 year old boy who has specifically requested a placement in and says "I love to make new friends and talk to people. My friends told me that I am friendly and talkative. In my free time I like to play ⚽️ with my friends. I play it about 4-5 days a week mostly on weekend. Besides playing sport, I love to read politic news 📰 and I also like watching movies. 📽 I am also looking forward to participating in a volunteer project when I am in the US."
