To clarify the Phoodery’s false statements.
We paid every dollar of rent(1,900 for the first year. 2,100 at the end of the year), every dollar of cam fees (up to $3400 as agreed on in contract) maxed out through the whole year.
What we were evicted for was an excess on top, supposedly agreed upon by restaurants.
$1,300 total. Our rent/cam paid the same months was $5,500. We absolutely never agreed to pay more that the already outrageous amount.
Check stubs don’t warrant an argument. We were not evicted for rent. The Phoodery wanted us gone, so they created an issue. Owners (Eric and Kyle) would not be clear about what was required vs what was made up completely.
We would have won out in court and beat the eviction.
Kyle personally tried to bribe me with $10,000 to leave quietly. They wanted me to sign another NDA. I refused.
We also were threatened eviction for
1) advertising drinks for another failing business
2) posting a sign saying we couldn’t sell drinks for that business
3) insurance certificate they had already been provided
4) closing down 40 minutes early after selling out one shift.
We gave our 6 month notice, and would have been gone mid December. The Phoodery decided to find a faster way.
