ALL Davy Crockett Drug employees would like to thank Tom & Vickie Gates (of Grapeland) for their gift of Bread pudding with bourbon sauce. It was specially made by Mr. Sherwood Bradshaw ( of Crockett). It was absolutely delicious! We are grateful for your blessing!

**** Don't forget! **** We need desserts for our Spring Concert and Bake Sale. If you want to enter the baking contest, bring your favorite dessert to the auditorium at 2pm on Sunday, April 17th. You can go head to head with defending champ Carole Martin!

The Grapeland Sandie Band would like to thank you for your past support and invite you to our Spring Concert and Cake Auction. The Concert is Sunday, April 17th at 3pm in the Lorena Schultz Auditorium.

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and proceeds go towards the end of the year band contest and scholarships. This year has been a great year. We have placed our order for the band uniforms, but we need to replenish our account to provide scholarships for our seniors.

If you cannot attend, we would appreciate your financial support by mailing a check made out to Grapeland Band Boosters to the Attn: Perry Frank, PO BOX 513, Grapeland, Texas 75844.

Coming up this week:

Road trip on Friday. We travel to Price to take on Carlisle. It is about a 1.5 hour trip. An extra bus monitor would be appreciated.

Saturday is Fall Fest at the Jr. High from 1pm to 6pm. Fun and games for everyone! After Fall Fest the PTO is having moving night.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with homecoming and the Peanut Festival. The winner of the afghan was Charity Squires. Charity is a former drum major. Thanks to everyone who donated money and bought raffle tickets. Special thanks to Myrna Martin for making the afghan!

We have a busy week this week! First, we have final uniform fitting tonight at 6:30pm. We can use all the help we can get for this! Second, we have an out of town game on Friday night. We need bus monitors for that trip. Lastly, the band will be traveling to Mabank on Saturday morning for a marching contest. We need bus monitors for that trip as well. Thanks for all your help in supporting the Sandie Band!

Guess what? It is almost time for marching season! Mr. Frank just mailed out the summer practice schedule, but in case you missed it:

Leadership Camp starts at 1pm on July 27th
Drum Camp starts at 1pm on July 27th
Marching Band Camp will be at 5:30pm to 8:30pm from August 3rd to August 21st.

Today the Sandie Band participated in The Sound Waves Music Festival hosted by Schlitterbahn in Braunfels. They received 1st Division for their performance. Also securing the best in class. Thanks to all the parents and booster members for your help and support. Congratulations Sandie Band!
