Gold Dust Circus Performer- Sofia Elvira

Sofia was born and raised in Barcelona training classical ballet from a young age. She recently moved to the Sierras via New York City.
During her 13 years in NYC she explored and trained several movement disciplines falling in love with pole dance and trapeze.
The inclusive and diverse training environments she found at Circus Warehouse, where she trained in the professional program for 4 years, and several pole studios around the City inspired her to pursue a performing career in the rich NYC nightlife and variety shows around Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.
After being a student all her life and supporting herself as an entertainer in the wild city, Sofia is beyond excited to teach in the mountains and embark on this new thrilling path.

Nataya started her aerial journey in 2014 on split fabric and has since explored various apparatuses. She enjoys the challenge of learning and creating on something unfamiliar, continuously building her repertoire for artistic expression with aerial arts. However, split fabric has always been her most intuitive apparatus and performing on it feels like home. Outside of aerial, she is a veterinarian and self-proclaimed crazy cat lady with four cats.

Katie Christiansen began her aerial journey in September 2020 at Aerial Lab in Grass Valley, CA. She initially started on silks, but currently focuses on aerial hoop and trapeze. When she’s not spinning around in the air, she’s either working as an acute care RN at Adventist Health and Rideout or hanging out with her husband and kids in the mountains!

Kelsey Cox is a passionate performance artist when she’s not piloting aircraft for the US Air Force. She began her study of circus hula hooping in 2012 and has been performing aerial arts since 2016. She is the sole founder of the Armed Forces Circus Artists Association. Kelsey specializes in circus hula hooping, aerial sling, and aerial hoop. She currently resides in Penn Valley, CA with her husband, Rick and their emu, Max.

A transplant from New York Nanci Garsha moved to California many years ago. She had no friends, and no idea what to do with herself. All of that changed when she began taking Aerial Hoop classes in 2012.
She fell in love with being in the air and found her people. Nanci specializes in Double Point Lyra and dabbles in Pole. A lover of all things that glitter and shine, when she’s not upside down you can find her making sparkly costumes and custom Minnie Mouse Ears.

Gold Dust Performer - Robin Van Cleave

After years of being relentlessly moved to tears watching live aerial performances as an audience member, Robin Van Cleave finally began her own training by gifting herself aerial classes for her 40th birthday. As a therapist and trauma survivor, she quickly learned that performance could be a medium for transformation and healing as well as for fun & entertainment, and is now a passionate advocate for everyone - at every age - to explore the possibilities and inspiration of circus arts. Robin now performs to speak for her heart, and to reconnect others with theirs.

Gold Dust Circus Performer - Cassie

Cassie has been a lifelong performer in the disciplines of musical theater and theatrical dance. She has been a dance instructor for over 30 years, a dance ministry director for 10 years, and directed children’s musical theater for 10 years. In 2011, Cassie added aerial dance to her repertoire and began teaching aerial fabric and lyra in 2017. Cassie is also a credentialed school teacher and works for Arete Charter Academy in Grass Valley.
