Mosquito Repellent Candles 🍋
It's blazing hot here dear Foodies.
The mosquitos are running riot - especially after the rain.
You probably have most of the ingredients for these mosquito repellent candles already in your home.
No mosquitoes yet?
Then save this post dear Cookers.
Not only are these candles super easy to make, but the supplies and ingredients are also pretty simple.

How to:
First slice one lemon and one lime (this will be enough for two candles).

Then add a couple of slices of lemon and lime to the jar.

Next add a couple of sprigs of basil.

Then fill jar with water up to threads of the jar (almost to the top as shown)

After that, add in 10 – 15 drops of lemongrass oil.

Now stir.

Then add in floating candle.

Finally, light the candle and enjoy a pest free summer! 💜🧡💙💛

Our annual Crab & Shrimp Feed is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, February 16 & 17, 2024.
Ticket price is $65 a person.

Dinner includes cleaned & cracked crab, shrimp, cocktail sauce, mixed green salad, pasta with meat sauce and garlic bread.
Doors open at 5:30pm, dinner 6 - 8pm.

Thank you to everyone who purchased See's Candy from our yellow Candy Trailer at Combie Plaza. We are closed until November and will hopefully be able to open up before Thanksgiving.

Crab, Shrimp, Pasta with our famous Meat Sauce, Salad, & Garlic Bread all served Family Style.

11-day Vote Centers open today! 🗳️ Get out and vote in person at the Eric Rood Center Elections Office in Nevada City and the Truckee Town Hall in Truckee. Ballot drop boxes are available in Grass Valley, Nevada City, North San Juan, Penn Valley, South County, and Truckee.

Measure V is the only local county measure on November 8th General Election ballot. Find information about Measure V on our website at www.ReadyNevadaCounty.org/MeasureV.

Saturday, June 25th we will host a Celebration of Life for Past District Governor Doug Wight (District 4-C5) starting at 3pm.
PDG Doug was a fun-loving Lion who was always there to lend a helping hand, and a great friend and mentor.
He loved his family and his classic Buicks.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
