Graton Community Club

Graton Community Club 501(c)3 in Graton, CA, est. 1914. Flower shows, plant sales & other community events raise scholarsh and continuing their studies at 4-year universities.

The Club hosts public flower shows in spring & fall where the sale of locally grown plants, needle work, crafts, collectibles, and a famous luncheon with homemade desserts raise funds for club activities, building projects and annual scholarships awarded to deserving local student who are graduating from S.R.J.C. We donate to GradNight and give nature books to Analy High school through the Huffine

Memorial Nature Fund. School kids visit the flower shows Thursday mornings before it opens to the general public and enjoy special goodie bags and tiny potted plants. Other activities include sponsoring a spring showing at the 6th St. Playhouse in Santa Rosa and the very popular Santa's visit in December. Throughout the year the clubhouse is rented for yoga classes, community meetings, workshops, weddings and other special special occasions. Our building has an accessible entrance and restroom.

Update on the upcoming meetings: For the Mon., Sept.18 meeting a rep from the Sonoma Water Agency (SWA) will be first on the GCSD Agenda to review and share the latest plans/proposal for the Occidental-to-Graton Sewage Wastewater Pipeline, answering questions, etc.

Sept.18 Water Board Town Hall meeting - meeting starts at 6PM, and is being run by the Graton Community Services District (GCSD) Board of Directors.

The Wed.,Sept.20 Meeting (also held at the GCC at 6pm to discuss the Housing Element Plans) is run by Sonoma Water Agency, and SupervisorLynda Hopkins will also be present.

BOTH of these issues will have major impacts on our Graton community - and I anticipate strong community interest. I am happy to know that the GCC is a major "connector" for the community to discuss these important issues - let's share the news/dates/times so we get a good turnout!
