Yesterday was AMAZING! ✨ I am loving seeing everyone’s pictures that they are posting! I’d say Small Business Saturday in Gray was a success!

TOMORROW is the day! Main Street Gray Hometown Christmas Market is tomorrow from 10-6pm!

Here is a map of the festivities!

🔵 Arts & Crafts/Retail Vendors will be along West Clinton Street, Madison Ave and Inside Butler Hall.
🟢 Food Trucks will be along Madison Ave and Dolly Street
🎅🏽Santa will be at Main Street Station 106 W Clinton Street
🎄We will be lighting the City of Gray Christmas Tree at 6pm!

We will have arts and crafts vendors, music, food, activities for kids and Santa will be spending the day at Main Street Station!

Fun Fact Friday!
Wild turkeys sleep in trees!🦃🌲
Turkeys spend most of their time on the ground, but when it’s time to sleep, they fly up into trees. This is because turkeys can’t see well at night, and to protect themselves from predators, they roost at dusk and fly down at dawn.

Today is National Turkey Neck Soup Day!🦃
Here's a quick recipe for you:

Make the Broth: In a large soup pot, boil the turkey neck, onion, and carrots until the turkey meat falls off the neck bones. Remove turkey necks and set aside. Drain the broth through a colander to remove the big chunks of carrot and onion. Return the turkey necks and broth to the soup pot.

Add the Rice & Potatoes: Add the rice to the soup pot and simmer until fully cooked. Once the rice is cooked, add in the diced potatoes. Simmer until the potatoes are easily pierced with a fork.

Season & Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh green onion and dill. Enjoy!
