Here we are using the same implement that is used to dig up potatoes. It works extremely well on dahlia clumps and is a time saver. These are worked on our growing beds that are 300 feet long.
We do still use the good ‘ol fork to lift all our tubers that we trial or only have 10-15 plants of one variety. This way we can be sure we don’t get varieties mixed up! You know how upsetting that can be 😬

This one is Hamilton Lillian. It first blooms into a more subtle yellow peachy tone then as the weather cools it brings on a rich raspberry peachy tone. The blooms hold extremely well in a vase. Are you ready for it? !!!!!!!
