August 23rd: Kokedama Workshop
Discover the art of Kokedama! The name Kokedama translates from “koke” meaning moss, and “dama” meaning ball. These moss balls are a centuries-old tradition in Japanese gardening and are related to the accent plants often shown alongside Bonsai. Learn a whole new way to love and care for your plants in a symbiotic relationship with moss!

Stroll through our wonderful downtown and receive a free sample from each participating business. At Mariposa, we are handing out these adorable stickers!

All ticket proceeds go to the Colorado Dance Collective, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dance company based in Greeley, hosting this event as a fundraiser. We work closely with this fantastic organization and would love for you to come out and show your support!

Plant of the Week: The Rubber Plant! 🌿

Despite their name, these plants are very real and make a lively addition to any space! There's a major misconception that rubber plants are low light plants; this isn't true! These plants actually require bright light, preferably from a south or west facing window.

Rubber plants should be watered when the top inch of the soil feels dry, making sure that the soil never dries out completely. If your rubber plant doesn't get a good amount of sunlight, you can cut back on your watering. Once a month, wipe the leaves with a damp cloth so they don't get dusty.
