I was super busy in California. I literally did hundreds of creations. So, I tried to put at least half on my website. I feel like it shows the consistnacy of my visual language in my balloon art. Because that’s what your paying for… my ART. Right? 🙃

Today we had week 2 of balloon class. We had a few new students today so we did refresher instructions on balloon dogs, flowers, swords and scepters. Tomorrow we will make a balloon buddy and they can twist a balloon flower to go in his hands or I’ll have heart balloons as an option.

These kids are having a blast! I can already see there’s a couple kids that REALLY enjoy this and I see a lot of balloons in their future 🥰🎈

I used the sample balloons we got from FLOAT swag bags! 🙌🙌🙌 And thank you to Party and Print Karen for having some smiley face balloons so I’d have enough for all the kids. 🙂 *The smiley face below is from Party City but they didn’t have enough in stock.*

🌈🌈 Double rainbows and balloon costumes galore! 🎈 Amazing St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Green Bay 🍀 I had the absolute pleasure of making all the pretty balloon arches and wearable costumes! Seeing everyone come together despite the flurries and 30mph winds was heart warming! The beautiful River dancing was my favorite experience that day! It’s a great day to be Irish 🙌💚🍻

Some fun balloon making yesterday at the Kroc of Green Bay for their family fun movie night. 🌟🤩 The fine arts director, Valerie, did an amazing job making this organic balloon popcorn piece! When you have an eye for art naturally, balloons can be easily taught as another art medium. I definitely love teaching balloons!

I’m happy to say I was able to whip up this popcorn box in 30min with some red masking tape, cutter, glue gun and foamboard pieces. 🙌 The popcorn print I already had from my previous boxes. Oh the benefits of being a craft hoarder. 🤣

💝 Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Make a bouquet of balloon roses or flowers! 🌹💐 Super easy and fun!
As an option add-on for the students in the workshop, they can bring a special gift to be stuffed in a balloon for their Valentine! Bring chocolates 🍫 or a teddy bear 🧸 or a teddy 😉 Limited spots available.

“A Christmas Carol” Musical balloon setup! 🤩 All the elements of the play! Lighted spirit candle, Charles Dickens book, festive top hat, Victorian lamp, chains of gold (greed) and stars! ✨
Making costumes, props and the decor for this play was literally my happy place! I sure miss doing big production setups. 🥰
This was a labor of love! My boys will forever remember their first play was broadway worthy! The Green Bay Kroc runs a wonderful drama program and we couldn’t be happier. Lots of practice and work went into this play. 🙌

🎈I love to make mock-ups! 🥰
I originally wanted to make a demi arch as an entrance piece but the doors and ticketing would be tricky. So, I decided to make a circle arch and combine all the elements into a beautiful and meaningful representation of the play and make for a great photo opp too!
Mock-ups help to know the proportion and balance of the balloons with the props! No guessing 🙃

📕 Another prop done for The Christmas Carol Musical this weekend at The Kroc 🤩🙌 shipping box, red craft felt by the yard, glue gun, glitter gold cardstock, cricut and school glue! I can’t wait to see this all together with balloons! 🥰

🎈Spent the day yesterday at THE ART GARAGE creating balloon art during the Green Bay Vintage Market event for SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY. It was fun making balloon creations while folks meander around the art gallery. 🤩

Next class will be December 16th 2-4p for either a classic snow-themed centperiece or a fun light-up Christmas lights centeriece. 🥰 Right now it’s 25% off until Cyber Monday.

I think this time we should have spiked egg nog, hot chocolate and Christmas cookies while we balloon! 🤤 oh! And cheese, always cheese 🧀🙌

Here’s a pic from my first balloon workshop! 🥰

I feel like there’s still hope for me to be in the balloon world where I can stay creative in Wisconsin. I LOVE teaching! I love getting people excited about balloons.

I started with a small centerpiece for class: a 5-pack base with a twisted flower, pumpkin and mini chrome clusters as optional embellishments. It was designed for an 18-21” foil topper but I gave the students the option to use a supershape turkey. 🦃

There was a beautiful cheeseboard and drinks (wine/beer) to enjoy during class. The layout was perfect with a large round table I can work on and spread out extra supplies and each student having their own station. There were 5 students total and one of them was a local balloon artist. I was sooooooo happy to have met her!!! 🥰 We all must stick together since we truly speak the same balloon language. lol

Now I’m on to planning my next couple classes for December.. fun and easy enough for beginners. ❄️🎅🏻🎄🎈
