Wonderful words from Eric Davidson of New Bomb Turks!

“That's right! Everyone's favorite underground garage trash crank, Ned Hayden, has released an autobiography -- Scene Loser: The True Story of the Grunge Underground -- and it is a blast!
It mainly covers his time working at the CBGB record store, salesman for Caroline distribution, then fronting his great band, the Action Swingers -- all while navigating the developing ridiculousness of the early 1990s "alternative rock" scene, full of friend bands who think they're important, iffy record deals, Lower East Side shenanigans, wobbly British tours, and Ned trying to stay drunk enough to hopefully pass out before ending up in a fight after a show.

It's blunt, not quite as vengeful as Ned's rep would hint, and chock full of fun 1990s underground rock references that'll make any Gen Xer smile/barf.
I'll save more for the review I'm writing for the next issue of Ugly Things magazine. For now, make your own opinion by picking it up and eyeballin' it right into your head right now! I believe Ned made only enough copies to clog up the CBGB toilet, so act fast!”

There are still A FEW (less than 10!) tickets to the special screening of GOLD: The Documentary next Sunday January 5th at 7pm.
GOLD is the story of current performers at the Golden Nugget Strip Club in Spread Eagle, Wisconsin. So, yeah, it’s about st*****rs, but also resilience, overcoming oppression, and finding your voice (GBUFO loves ALL that).

You guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We and we mean WE THE COMMUNITY were able to serve over 300 meals!!!!!!!!! The amount of from the community was over the top!!!! From monetary donations to others who brought blankets, toys, gift cards and clothes!!! What a truly amazing day ❤️

Also a litte shout out and some extra to all the hard working first responders and health care workers who worked today ❤️

Whenever I return to GB after GonerFest I have the Post-Gonerfest Blues and last night at the GBUFO I certainly wasn’t suffering from that because Pet Mosquito was so great that I felt I was back in Memphis at Gonerfest. Unfortunately no Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken for breakfast today.

Best Band in America Pet Mosquito.

The Stoic Poets ending their set with some Didjits at the Green Bay UFO Museum Gift Shop and Records.

Setting up shows in GB is ultra frustrating for a number of reasons and sometimes(just recently in fact) I want to walk away from doing shows, and then a band like Cardiel plays in this backwards village masquerading as a city and I go ok this is why I still set up shows for at times a very unappreciative Green Bay. Can’t wait to set up Cardiel again! Thank you to everyone who came out last night and big thanks to The Coves for opening the show.
