We had the pleasure of working with the Monroe and Harrison 5th graders today at Rose Floral! They learned about processing, cutting and arranging flowers and each group made their very own Mother’s Day arrangement working together as a team!

They are now available for purchase if you want them for Mother’s Day or maybe even to send to their wonderful teachers! 👩‍🏫

They are $50 each— make sure to ask your kiddo what their team name was! The groups were:

Shayla was born and raised in Green River. She left for college, which she attended at the U of U, WWCC, UW, and finally graduated her college tour at Wright State University in Ohio. She obtained degrees in Biology and Physiology. While applying for medical school and publishing a paper from her undergraduate research, life rerouted her and she moved home to care for family.
During this time, she became interested in natural medicine by necessity, but fell in love with the potential of root cause analysis and treatment. She opened Sweetwater Holistic in 2020 while also working at the mine. In 2023, with the assistance of a shoulder injury, she was able to transition to the clinic full time.
Shayla has a large family that she is close to, including numerous grandparents and 13 nieces and nephews. If she’s not at the clinic or the flower shop, you can find her out in the sun, paddle boarding, hiking, playing games with family, or catching the sunrise on her deck.
