Good morning from the Farmers Market at the Fairgrounds ! Check out this beautiful selection!

Make this the best summer ever with these fun summer bucket list ideas! We’re already a month in, so you might be running out of ideas. All of these can even be done multiple times and still be fun! 1. Head to the farmer’s market 2. Visit the Splash Pad 3. Pick up books at the Library to read outside 4. Grill fresh corn on the cob 5. Try every flavor of ice cream at Libby’s What would you add to the list?

Florist Answered Questions! Do I need to use flower food? Flower food is not required, but can extend the vase life of your flower arrangement. “Food” is a bit of a misnomer. This chemical is more about preventing bacteria in the water than providing nutrients to the flower. Using fresh, clean water is the best way to keep these flowers looking beautiful.

Did you know national pink day is this Sunday, June 23rd? What better way to celebrate than with some gorgeous pink flowers to brighten up your house? Tag someone who needs to know Pink Day is approaching!

Florist Answered Questions! How often should I change the water? Clean water is key to keeping your flowers fresh for as long as possible. It’s best to change the water in your arrangement every 2 to 3 days. This will keep bacteria at bay and help the flowers stay hydrated.

Florist Answered Questions! What if some flowers in my arrangement begin to wilt? Wilting is a natural process for cut flowers. When we remove the beautiful bloom from its root system, we reduce its ability to access water and nutrients. Some flowers and greens will wilt faster than others in an arrangement. You can extend the life of your cut flowers by following the other tips I share on the Florist Answered Questions page. When the inevitable happens, and part of the arrangement begins to wilt, simply remove the parts that are wilting. Removing the wilted stem will allow the other blooms to continue to shine as long as possible.
