Here is what I will promise you:
-No more Auto Mode
-Learn the basics to dramatically improve your photos
-Learn how to edit images - which is half of photography in the digital age
-Understand the keys to getting more from your camera
-A frame'able image after one single class
And by the end of the class, I guarantee you will be able to take and edit an image - that can be printed and framed and hung on the mantle in your house.
The class will be taught in my studio which is a huge treehouse in my back yard. We have a kitchen in the treehouse and dinner will be included.
A camera is not required but trust me, you're going to want one immediately after the class so you might as well go ahead and get one beforehand. A computer is not required but it is vital to learning how to edit so bring one if you can. A tripod is recommended but again not required.
Editing Software
I edit images using Lightroom by Adobe. It is a fee based software program. This is not required but this is the platform I use to edit in the class. It is the most popular program available and if you are serious about learning photography, trust me and get a subscription before class starts. It's usually in the $10 per month range. Editing is literally half of photography.
Less Talking, More Capturing
We will start the class in a classroom style setting for an hour or two, the rest of the time we will be taking and editing images - with lots of breaks. I live near an arboretum where we will walk to get some sunset images.
Classes will be kept small to allow as much one-on-one teaching as possible. Once this class fills up, we won't be able to add any others.
Cost
The cost of the class is $200. This includes everything. This also gives you access to all future education. Under 18 years old is $100.

Jammin' For Research
We held our second annual Reelin' For Research Jamboree last night and we raised $__________ (you have to watch the video to find out).
Reelin' For Research is a charity that Cory and Duane have been involved in for three years now where the ultimate mission is to land a cure for cancer-in children. We donated half of our proceeds and all of our great friends who showed up at both The Rusty Rooster Pub and Patio pub and Lucky's Burger-n-Tap pitched in.
Cory and Duane joined forces with Maury Kennedy Photography and 20 others who created a team that participates in the Reelin For Research event every year in Morehead City. With our donation from last night, our team has raised over $20,000 and we're headed to the coast to present our check this weekend. Last year the total raised was $1 million and we hope to exceed that this year!
100% of the money that Reelin' raises goes to UNC Children's - North Carolina Children's Hospital where the entire cancer wing of the hospital has been renamed The Reelin for Research Division.
