The Weir-Jordan House (c. 1846) has a rich history in the city of Greensboro. This antebellum home is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of only ten surviving structures built before 1880 in Greensboro. The house was purchased by the Greensboro Woman’s Club in 1921 with the purpose of using the home as a clubhouse. In 2008, the Weir-Jordan House became the home of Savory St. at the Weir-Jordan House today. Are you a professional photographer that is looking to grow your portfolio?📸📸📸

The historic Weir-Jordan House is a beautiful and intimate location for so many types of occasions! It has that historic southern charm that comes through so well in photos.

We are looking for local photographers to partner with this spring, who would be willing to come and take pictures of the Weir-Jordan House for free, that we can use in our marketing materials and social media.

What’s in it for you, you ask? For starters, our fee to use the house for photos would be waived (think bridal or family pictures on the lawn with our beautiful azaleas and hydrangeas as the backdrop!).
🌸🪻🌼

Also, anytime the photos were used in social media, the photographer’s information would be tagged.

And best of all, we have an approved vendors list that we share with our clients that your name would be added to!✅

Please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in learning more by February 28th.

Don't you just love a beautiful, antique staircase?

The Weir-Jordan House was built in c.1850s (yes, over 175 years ago!) and is believed to be the sixth oldest home on its original foundation in Greensboro.

Interesting fact! The stair handrail in the Weir-Jordan House is original to the home, and the newel was carved from a single piece of wood.

We love hosting guests in our home and seeing the pictures that have been taken on this beautiful set of stairs over the years - from brides to birthday girls, family portraits and other fun times in between!

If you would like to tour our home to explore as a possibility to host your next event or meeting, please reach out!

We often have visitors admire our dining room fireplace and ask "What's the story behind the J?"

In 1890 James F. Jordan owned our beautiful piece of history, the Weir-Jordan House. As we all tend to do with our own homes, we update or add elements to make it our own.

Mr. Jordan was no different and added iron J's to both sides of the fireplace, proving that yes, a good monogrammed piece is truly timeless!
