Cross country ski season is here! Endless tracks around the freshly blanketed fields and still easy running for Ellie and Arly. Looking forward to getting even more snow tonight ❄️

Saturday was a windy day with gusts over 30mph starting in the predawn hours- and these weathervanes were in full swing! The spiral is over 6 ft wide and the lightning bolt extends 8 ft long and in addition to adorning the tops of the cupolas with their artistic flare, they both swivel to show the direction of the wind.

Arly was way more interested in the apple she found and was flinging around the field and Ellie was having fun letting the wind blow her ears into the air on our morning walk.

Gorgeous long table from last night’s celebration! Complete with unique mugs individually selected for each guest, flowers dried by the bride, and delicious bread baked by the groom that morning! And the catering & bar by The Roving Feast was delicious!

Things are buzzing in the greenhouse 🐝🍅🥒🌻 The tomatoes and cukes are bursting from the vines and the flowers are gorgeous pops of color. Elsewhere on the grounds, the pears have been dropping at amazingly fast rates 🍐, the apples had a lighter year thanks to weather disturbances during pollinating times 🍎, the berries are basically done for the season (way too many to pick making the rest of the animal kingdom quite happy)🫐, the grapes did not enjoy all the rain🍇, third cut was finished a while month ago🌾, making a fourth cut highly possible… and we have squash galore making for creative attempts at new recipes.
