Rounding the corner on finishing up our fall wedding season in less than a month and can’t help but think back on some of my favorite reception designs. Shannon + Emerson’s “juicy fall” color palette was so perfect for their September wedding at The William Aiken House. What a way to kick off the Fall 2024 season! Flora was lucky enough to get to design the florals for the first wedding at Charleston’s newest venue, along with some of our favorite vendors and ! Lydia + Donald could not have been a more precious couple to start the season with and the space was gorgeous. Right on the Kiawah River, beautiful modern indoor reception space, sweet little cocktail hour courtyard, gorgeous views—this is a place we hope to add to our regular roster of venues!

Morgan + Stephen’s mid week wedding was the epitome of lovely. Fresh, textural arrangements with reeded glass chimney sleeves and lamp light woven throughout the two dining tables made for a full, yet intimate setting. Ellen originally wanted white and green for her florals, but she loved the tones that natural coastal grasses could pull into her destination Charleston wedding. We wove in touches of bunny tail, taupe lisianthus and autumn eucalyptus and the result was exactly what we hoped. Neutral, but touches of natural dimension and texture! The first images from Jess + Jon’s wedding have started to come in and I’m beside myself. Jess knew she wanted a bouquet with texture, but overall limited ingredients. She left it up to me to decide what would look best that week. The white and cream Japanese sweet pea from mixed with delicate spirea was the perfect recipe!
