SAVE THE DATE for the Mountains of Love Quilt Auction!

Our hearts are with the mountain communities in the Carolinas affected by Helene. As many of our team members are based in the Carolinas, we are driven to make a difference after this devastating event. We've teamed up with our Jaftex Corp. (FreeSpirit Fabrics, Henry Glass & Co., The Blank Quilting Corp, Studio e Fabrics) designers and brand ambassadors to auction a stunning collection of quilts, with all proceeds going directly to WNC Food Systems Coalition to support essential relief efforts. As the weather turns colder, many call for warmth and comfort, and your generous bids will help supply crucial items like blankets, food, and heavy equipment to those facing devastating circumstances.

The auction goes live on November 11 — browse, bid, and make a difference.

Together, let's show the strength of our quilting community and make a difference for those in need. ❤️

I believe this is one of the hearts I made about 3 years ago!!

A friend and I went to the Clear Creek trail because we are doing the Johnson County Avian Adventure and one of the clues in that avian scavenger hunt led us to the area. We found the heart hanging in a tree and decided our trip to the remote area was worth it even if we didn't find the bird. I am all in on creating more....when the snow flies. I KNEW there would be a good project to use up quilting scraps and a jar full of buttons.

I was feeling very disheartened with many things in my life this morning. I had parked the car at my local Woolworths done the shopping and returned to the car . I went to get in the car and right in front of me was this beautiful heart hanging on the small tree. As I approached the tree there was the beautiful heart ❤️ and a beautiful reminder for me to remember it’s the little Blessings in life that matter the most. This has absolutely made my day. Thank you ❤️🙏💛

Hi, my names Corben and I am 10 years old... here's my story. Me and my dad were biking down a trail right next to our house, and we stopped, and my dad said, "Let's stop here and go back to the house." I replied, "Let's go down until the next stopping point." so we went and went until the next stopping point my dad said," K lets go back" I replied back, "Let's go to the end." He looked at the long trail ahead for a moment then said, "You know how long that's going to take right?" I said, "Yeah." and off we went. We got to a rest stop that we had only biked to once and then at the end on a tree.... was.... THE HEART. Now I thought someone had just left their mark on a tree symbolling hey I made it to the end so I said to my dad, "Dad if we bike here again, we should bring something to leave behind like that heart on the tree." He said "Ok" and we were going to leave (after taking a picture of the sunset) then my dad yelled, "Corben look the heart says something!" so, I walked over and sure enough it said " I Need a Home" then we saw the website and we said we will look it up when we get home so we rode home (which hurt my legs) and now IM HERE. It's not exactly exciting like , I WAS GETTING CHASED BY A SHARK AND THERE WAS AN ISLAND THEN I SWAM UP AND MY LEG GOT BIT OFF BUT I STILL GOT THE HEART... but its ok, I want to thank you because this is so fun, and it did brighten my day it's just so cool that you do this and it just shows that little things go a long way. This was so fun to do.

I found this on a very busy Sunday. I train household pets and service dogs. I was working on public access with a puppy and we were just leaving a small clothing store. There in front of me was this cute little heart. I thought it was a lost toy at first an then i saw it “needed a home”. I said I’ll be your home. I was overjoyed when I realized I didn’t have to re-hide it like the rocks. This heart sat in my pocket the rest of the day reminding me that it’s the simple things that bring smiles.😊

We are traveling on a 24 day adventure from Arizona to Galveston Beach in Texas to camp for 12 days on the beach. We stopped at Lost Maple State Park in Texas. They had an amazing box that has books for people that you can take one and leave one. I had such fun looking at all the books for kids, and thinking how excited they must be to find one and there among the books was this quilted heart. It was so beautiful and thoughtful that someone would place these for people to find. I love mine and have it hanging on the k**b in my camper drawer as a reminder of how wonderful people can be. It will travel with me all over the US on all my travel journeys. Thank you so much to the person who made this and to those who came up with the idea to leave them everywhere. You have truly blessed my day and my entire trip and many more to come. Thank you.

It's 67 degrees here today in Ohio! I decided to go for a walk and found a heart in the alley behind my house. It must not have been there long because it's in perfect condition. It made my day, especially when I looked up your website.

Hi! As I was leaving a 10k race this morning in Litchfield Park, AZ I saw a pretty little heart hanging on a bush by my car. I noticed the Christmas theme fabric and snapped a picture, intending to show my kids when I got home as it was so sweet to see, and I knew they’d get a kick out of it.
Then I noticed the tag and I brought it home. Thanks for spreading joy in our communities, what a fantastic project! ❤️

Young and old, beaders and quilters enjoyed two days of creativity, fun, good food, and being with new and old friends again. Thank you, Dennis Brantley, for servicing machines; Julia Holder those amazing massages; Will Gallagher and his mighty Repair Cafe team of volunteers adding another level of ‘texture’ to our Creative Palette; and Derek Baity, Kickback Catering, for the delicious food!

While this is the last retreat I will host, long-time attendees, Joanne Embry and Ann Harris decided they would pick up the reins. I do not know in what direction they will take it, only that it will be the first Friday and Saturday, the 7th and 8th in March, 2025. I also do not know whether or not they will continue to used this FB page. If they decide not, then I will let you know.
