At almost every wedding someone suggests it or turns all the lamps back on after I have turned them out to let in the pretty and natural flattering light.
It’s ok, though. They just don’t know. Now is the time to educate them. Share the magic of natural light and how it flatters. Share about how color temperatures matter and keeping them consistent leads to perfection in photos.
While my eyes might roll, I never show it. Some people just don’t know. Be a resource and educate.

The days have been long, the mornings have been quick. The kids have been having the time of their lives.
Was taking 3 kids under 6 on a roadtrip a great idea? 100% yes! It’s had its moments, but it’s been grand!
We aren’t really a beach family. The mountains are always calling and these ones are AMAZING!
I have a “favorites” folder with so many photos I keep thinking I’ll use for a “Throwback Thursday” post like it’s 2012. 🙊

It’s amazing to me that @bespoke_and_beloved and I started hosting workshops 5 year ago in April. It’s been so much fun to see the life each workshops takes between style and how we have adjusted the workshops to best help attendees. Each workshop always pushes and challenges me and I hope does the same for attendees.

She emails her favorite people she has researched and then 👻Vendors get it, sometimes they aren’t a good fit for you. Maybe it’s their style. Maybe it’s your budget. Maybe it’s their personality. JUST DON’T ghost them. 👻👻👻Vendors do a happy dance when your inquiry drops in their inbox. They take the time to email you back and make that email personal. Tonight these cool cats got to hangout late with mommy at the @greensburgnightmarket. They LOVED it! A yummy cookie from a cute bakery spot was first on their list followed by a tasty granola bar from @littlegardenkitchen. Now off to bed for these two littles!

Wedding Photographer Tip: Part 1. ALWAYS have a checklist. Wether this is your first wedding or your 500th wedding, always have a checklist to run down to make sure nothing is forgotten. Ours covers everything from camera gear to extra shoes because sometimes you never know when you’re going to have to loan out your shoes, your shirt, or even your belt to a bridal party member in need. Yes, I’m not even kidding, we have loaned out articles of clothing to bridal party members. Those are some stories for another day.

11 things I’ve learned…
1- Sometimes you need to go to bed angry and sleep on it. Things look different in the light of day.
2- You can change things to better suite your partner and they change things to better suite you… you end up flip flopping and laughing about it for years
3- Do the things you don’t like but they do
4- Opposites do attract
5- Sometimes you need to walk away and come back to it
6- Husband time frames and wife times frames are totally different
7- Marriage isn’t hard
8- The TP will never be on the right way
9- Home isn’t a place but the people in it
10- Sometimes life gets busy and you feel like ships in the night… slow down and spend time together. It’s important.
11- Marriage is a choice. The constant choice to choose the one you promised you would choose to do life with.
I didn’t map out what I wanted my life to look like, but I would say it’s been grand! I’ve loved doing life with you and choosing you every day. 🤍
Well, there is a first for everything, BUT she is about 12 years to early for this one. 🙀
