It was a beautiful day for Madison and Luke to have an outdoor ceremony! You never know how the weather can change but we were prepared for either scenario! Thankfully we had some cloudy skies and no rain!! It’s always a good idea to have a rain backup plan set up with your venue just in case! Also make sure to talk to your planner/coordinator to ensure a smooth transition in case you do have to go to your rain plan. Happy Planning!
Greenville has some great venues! We had a great venue tour at The Rutherford on Friday! It’s a beautiful venue with multiple spaces for any kind of event! There’s a beautiful brick room perfect for dinner and a fun downstairs area with a courtyard and patio!
Getting your guests to the dance floor can sometimes be tricky. Most people won't just walk out onto the dance floor so it's up to you to give them a little motivation! Our favorite way to start the party is to invite all your guests onto the dance floor for a group photo. Have the DJ play a high energy song! Make sure you're bringing the energy and encourage everyone to join! Once the photos are done, guests are more likely to stay on the dance floor. Remember if the couple is on the dance floor, the guests will follow! 🪩

We want yours to be amazing so think about the top 3 things that will make or break your event. 1) planning in advance makes sense right? Except you need to actually share these plans in detail with your planner or coordinator! They need to fully understand your vision in order to execute. Pictures are always encouraged. Take time to do a mock set up and create an actual layout of the space. Please don’t wait until the day of (yes unfortunately we have seen this and it didn’t end well) 2) I CANNOT STRESS THIS enough. Please please use professionals! They have skills and expertise. They are here for YOU! We aren’t saying family and friends can’t help but do not put essential tasks on their plate. They will be under pressure and won’t get to enjoy their time with you. 3) Full transparency: you do actually get what you pay for so prioritize your budget and set realistic expectations for yourselves! If you want an amazing DJ and an open bar then go for it but just remember there is a price tag. Maybe you don’t need a full plated dinner, you opt for heavy appetizers instead. It’s all about prioritizing!!

Everyone in the bridal party should know where and when they are walking. 1. Officiant announcements like telling guests it’s an unplugged ceremony 2. Special readings/song/prayer - where will this be incorporated? 3. Who has the rings/vows 4. Are specific family members being escorted? 5. Are you adding a unity ceremony element? We cannot stress this enough! You need to have a rehearsal PRIOR to your wedding day! We know that you may not have access to your venue so we suggest finding a large open space to hold your rehearsal. Talk to your planner/coordinator about setting a date and time for this! They can also offer suggestions on locations!
