Congratulations to Clayton Jones ’13, last night’s winner of the St. Louis Sound competition!

He claimed victory with his original song "Ringleader."

Formerly lead singer of the group The Madison Letter, Clayton relaunched as a solo artist in 2017 and released the 12-song album Beyond the Fences. He has performed across the U.S. as well as in the UK, South Africa and Tanzania.

Grammy Award winner Jorge Casas has died at age 68. The bass player was born in Havana, Cuba, and since 1986 he was the regular bassist, musical director and producer for the Miami Sound Machine and for Gloria Estefan, who annonced Casas' death on social media Thursday (Jan. 31).

Teach creative kids, savvy songwriters, or budding composers? The Creating Original Music Project (COMP) at the University of Missouri wants to hear their voices!

We're seeking Instrumental Music, Songs With Words, Fine Art, Pop, and Jazz music. Both winners and their schools will receive cash prizes, and the winners' music will be performed at our annual COMP festival at Mizzou. Apply by January 14th.
