INTRODUCING CASEY KOZLOV!

Casey moved to Greenville from Southern California in 1980 with her husband Walter Kozlov. They are now owners of Pip Marketing, Signs and Print. They originally moved here to help their aging parents whom came to South Carolina in 1980 as immigrants from Kiev, Ukraine. The intent was to help them navigate and communicate with healthcare professionals and help with their living needs, but in reality, Casey believes she has benefited more from the relationship with her in-laws. Casey says, “how fortunate we are to have this incredible relationship with these amazing people (my In-laws). I look forward to every visit we have with them, I get to learn about a different life than the fortunate one I have lived here in the USA.

Now here’s the truth! Casey has ZERO experience in ballroom dancing, the only dancing she claims to have is “to dance until the bar/club closes. So this will be the biggest challenge to date (Dancing With The Carolina Stars). Her hobbies are simple: wine tasting, food, and board games. She is not a big workout fanatic like some of the other contestants, but she does enjoy water sports like kayaking and swimming.

Casey loves Greenville, she loves the diversity in the community, and loves being involved with charities. She has recently become involved with “The Period Project” and Senior Action. She enjoys not only raising funds for these projects, but being involved with the people that are a part of it bring her so much joy.

INTRODUCING Adam Taylor!

Adam was born and raised in Upstate South Carolina. He graduated from North Greenville University as an accomplished collegiate baseball player, achieving all American twice. He graduated with a Business Administration degree in 2013, MBA 2015, and was inducted into Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022. During this time he married the love of his life, Kimberly. After graduation, Adam followed his passion to become a pro baseball player (Gary SouthShore RailCats, Florence Freedom, High Point Rockers). He did this while underwriting at TD Bank to support his family. In 2017, Adam was led to pursue real estate like his successful grandfather, but had an equal desire to serve his country. So he believed and achieved both. Today, Adam serves as an officer in the Army National Guard. He is a father to two girls, Violet and Audrey while also being a full time Mega Agent and investor with Keller Williams Realty. In this short time, Adam has climbed to the top 1% in his MLS of over 5k agents. #5 Individual Agent in NC/SC in 2020.

He founded the first KW expansion office in his hometown of Laurens, SC to drive growth where his heart is. During all of this Adam has also built a 40 million dollar team.

INTRODUCING Steven DeLisle

Steven is a real estate agent in the Greenville area. He has been fortunate to serve the community for 8 years now and has loved every minute of helping people navigate their next phase in life. This is his first time learning how to dance and he could not be more excited and nervous to be performing for you. He would like to thank his incredible wife, Sarah, and his three beautiful children for dealing with him while he practiced this dance all around the house. And a big thank you to his coach Ciara and Senior Action for inviting him to participate in fundraising for this amazing organization.

INTRODUCING Andrew King!

Andrew was born and raised in Greenville, SC. Since graduating from Clemson University in 2014, he has been in the senior health industry for almost 8 years: Patriot Hospice for over 7 years and recently took a new job with CenterWell Senior Primary Care.

He has played sports his entire life. He grew up a runner and picked up cycling a little over 13 years ago, which he also rode for Clemson and continues to ride for a local team. His introduction to the senior health industry came in 2011 when he participated in a 3-day cycling ride, from Simpsonville to Charleston, called A Ride to Remember (currently Ride to End Alz), benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association, and has done so ever since. In college and a few years after, he volunteered with Roger C. Peace Paracycling. Another charity ride he participates in is the Challenge to Conquer Cancer, a relay style bike ride from Greenville to Lewiston, ME. You can always find him running around town and riding his bike all over the upstate. This will be his first attempt at putting those muscles to use on the ballroom dance floor.

Andrew believes wholeheartedly that staying active and being social are the keys to longevity, which he takes to work every day in the senior community. “They took care of us. It’s now our turn to help take care of them.”

INTRODUCING Manisha Shanbhag!

Manisha is a first generation Indian-American and was born in Spartanburg, SC. She went to Duke for undergrad and medical school, UPenn for residency, and Emory for my cardiology fellowship. She moved back to Greenville in 2011 to start the first Adult Congenital Heart Disease clinic in the Upstate. “I absolutely love my job,” says Manisha. She has two boys that are 10 and 12, and two amazing dogs. Her family is very active and lives on soccer fields or basketball courts.

Manisha is very involved in our community. She, and her family, started Books for Boos 5 years ago, where they give out over 4000 books instead of candy at Halloween from their front porch in North Main. Manisha is also serving on the boards for Pendleton Place and the Urban League.

Manisha has always had a passion for dancing. She grew up performing Indian classical dance. “It is very different from ballroom dance, so I am looking forward to the challenge,” says Manisha. “I truly appreciate the impact Senior Action has within our community, and it's an honor to be a part of such an important fundraising event for them.”

So sad to be saying goodbye to Cody Alcorn tonight as he wraps up 16 years with Fox Carolina News. Cody was first a celebrity dancer for Dancing with the Carolina Stars in 2013. He was hooked. He continued to help raise money for Senior Action every year since as our event emcee. News personalities give so much more back to the communities that they work in than just what happens on the TV screen, and Cody went even further above and beyond. We will miss him terribly (even though a little birdie has told us he will be making a special appearance at DWCS this year 😉).
