Hey yall,

It’s been a wild winter for me. My grandfather passed away. As a family we went back to my hometown (Washington DC area) to say goodbye. When we got back, we have all been sick basically nonstop. And parents of toddlers absolutely know how rough it can get when they’re sick. I think I may have gotten 2 hrs of sleep last night 🫠

I mentioned before that I really wanted to replicate my grandparents wedding arrangement and gift it to my grandma. Well, I did it. I was determined. I was unsuccessful in finding large rosebuds in this color, so I took a mix of white rosebuds; as well as ombré ones that started green, then white, with a little pink on top. I diluted paint 1:1 and dip dyed each rose individually until it became the color of my liking. Then followed with a sealant.

I was very proud of this arrangement. I know my grandma was very grateful when I gave it to her. What do you think? Scroll down on my news feed to find the original.

Happy Christmas Eve Eve!

Tell me if you’re the same..

I’ve been running around like a chicken with its head cut off prepping the house, getting all things Christmas finished and ready to go.

Then I got distracted and was like.. “OOH, SHINY!”.. saw these blue roses with silver glitter on the edges..in a Michael’s shopping bag I thought I took care of.. I took my ADHD meds this morning, I swear 🤣

This arrangement is large! Approximately 29” tall, 21” wide. It’s more winter-y and less Christmassy 🎄. It could be a good centerpiece if you don’t like changing out your home decor every 1-2 months 🙂.. who has time for that, anyway?

My grandfather, who was my legal guardian for a good portion of my childhood, passed away on 12/17. He had been suffering for the last month so I am glad he is no longer suffering. I got a phone call while working one night from my grandmother, saying he was acting confused and now won’t get out of bed. Pretty much unresponsive. She already called an ambulance twice earlier that day and they didn’t transport. I called his county’s 911 and got everyone going there ASAP. After much advocating, they took him in. His kidneys were failing, then he acquired Covid pneumonia while in the hospital. He passed away at Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital at around 04:30. It was the first hospital I worked in as an ER Tech/EMT. Had many career firsts while working there.. I met my husband at this hospital. We also said goodbye to my great grandmother here. My other grandpa, who I never met, also passed here.

I am heartbroken. I will need to go back home (Maryland) to say goodbye soon. I am taking another hiatus. This Christmas has been so hard on my family. I would appreciate your prayers. My grandmother is alone for the first time in 64 years. My heart breaks for her.

My grandfather loved flowers, butterflies, hummingbirds, and military planes. He was an Army vet. I plan on making something soon in remembrance of him. Stay tuned ♥️

This little cutie was a custom order. It’s going to someone who is a personal banker at 5/3 Bank. I wanted to keep it overall neutral to allow it to be appropriate for all seasons, but also with a splash of the business’ colors. What do you think?

I had to take a short hiatus due to a family related matter. I’m back to creating though! Check out this Williamsburg styled wreath that I made!

Fun fact: I’m actually from the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) and my husband and I had our honeymoon in colonial Williamsburg, VA. So creating this brought back some positive memories! 😊
