We’re moving right along at Eagles Landing!

We had 0 damage from this past weeks storm!!
It went right past us as the cemetery near by had significant damage. Continued prayers for those whose homes and properties were affected 🤍

Mercer Savings Bank is announcing the retirement of longtime Greenville Loan Officer/Branch Manager, Timothy L. Burns, effective June 30, 2024. Burns began his career with Mercer Savings Bank as a loan officer on September 16, 1985. In 2011, he was promoted to Branch Manager after the retirement of Mike Snyder.

Following his retirement, Tim plans to travel and spend time with his wife, Darci, and children, Ryan, Meghan, Evan, and Lauren. He will also be working as owner and operator of his newest venture, Eagles Landing Farm & Venue in Greenville, OH.

Right now he’s building up a bank to our front doors! The ground is also being leveled so that we can be ready for some grass this spring 🌱

Our beautiful round barn 🤍

Built in 1900, this round barn stood on Gettysburg-Pitsburg Rd. We found it empty and in rough condition in 2015 and was in awe of its potential. The owner so generously gave us this barn!
So, in 2017 it we had it taken down piece by piece with plans to restore it. We had different ideas of what we could use it for but eventually we found that a wedding venue would be the best way to capture its beauty.
In the design process we used this barns blueprints as a jumping point. We made the walls wider and added architectural elements such as the dormers, front wings, a front porch, and a timber addition to the back.
All of the original materials were salvaged and used in the rebuild! You’ll find the original siding completing the interior of the barn and the restored cupola completing the bell roof where all of the original roof trusses were also used!

Our barn siding 😍😍

For the exterior siding of the barn, we chose a style called board and batten. Not only is this style durable, it is also timeless and adds even more detail and elegance to our venue. With time, this wood will age beautifully. ✨
We also wanted to highlight our main entrance - reclaimed double doors, reclaimed corbels, arched window, and an overhead designed to match the dormers 🤍

Just a reminder to please NOT pull onto the property/walk onto the property etc. It is a construction site - only authorized vehicles and persons are to be on the site. Furthermore, our builders are working very hard on this project and appreciate you respecting their time to not stop and ask questions. “The Eagle Has Landed” 🦅

The reclaimed cupola from the original round barn was restored and positioned on the very center of the barn, officially completing our bell roof!
With our eagle weather vain soon to be put on top, we just had to create a fun video with the sound of Apollo 11 🚀

It’s all in the details ✨
A good portion of our materials are thrifted and being given a second life! Windows, doors, lighting fixtures, and more, are hand picked and coming from all over the east coast! We really want our venue to be unique and one of a kind for your special day 🤍

Love is built on a firm foundation 🤍

We broke ground on July 4th which involved digging and leveling the ground to get ready for concrete. Later in the month on an early morning, our foundation was poured. Our 10 inch thick walls aren’t going anywhere!

The detailes of our beautiful building are so thoughtfully planned 🤍
This barn was actually pre-existing in Ohio. Taken down piece by piece, it will be put back together and re-built soon! Round barns are an octagonal structure which are very rare to find, making our venue all the more unique! We are also adding a rectangular addition and an outdoor deck to the back of the barn to create even more space for your next event✨
