October was one of our busiest months yet, and our team stepped up in more ways than one with our Building-Wide Step Challenge! Together, we tracked an incredible 9,980,480 steps—that’s like walking from right here in Greenville all the way to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! 🌎

From every department, our team joined together, taking time to connect, share some laughs, and celebrate the steps we take every day—both in and outside our building. It’s moments like these that remind us how lucky we are to work in such a fantastic environment and city. Here’s to stepping up together, every step of the way! 💚

🎉🍽️ Celebrating with our own Chef Fergus Davidson! 👨‍🍳✨

We were able to sit down with Fergus and pick his brain about a variety of topics of the job he carries so effortlessly here at the Greenville Convention Center.

Q: How would you describe your cooking style, and the cuisine offered at the convention center?

A: "My cooking style has been totally influenced by my parents. Growing up in a Latin American household, bold flavors and fresh ingredients were always in the forefront of every dish. Dinners at my house were an occasion not just a meal. Here at the Convention Center, we strive for very similar experiences for all our guests."

Q: What are some of your favorite dishes to prepare for events at the convention center, and why?

A: "Hands down my favorite dish that we prepare here at the Convention Center is a Saltimbocca inspired chicken breast. Between the salty Feta, Mozzarella mix, and the shaved Prosciutto Ham topping and if you pair that with a Sundried Tomato Cream Sauce it’s a win. Of course, who would complain about adding some Cheesy Herbed Risotto."
