📣 Dress Ordering 101 📣

Did you know wedding gowns can take up to SIX months to come in?

The typical timeframe you will hear is to start dress shopping one year in advance! This is because dresses can take up to 6 months to come in, with the possibility of taking longer. Typically, you will need to allow around three months for alternations (could take longer or be quicker depending on time of year + your seamstress’s schedule). & lastly, keep in mind if you are having bridal portraits made & if you have a particular time of year you want those done.

Remember, there are always exceptions like off the rack options or maybe a dress is available to ship immediately but we recommend keeping this timeline in mind!

Believe it or not, this is more common than you think!

The best advice to any bride to remember at your first or fifth appointment:

1: Have an open mind - your perfect dress may be something you least expected.

2: The first ever dress you try on, could very well be YOUR dress. We try to gauge your likes, inspo, etc & put you in that first.

3: Be prepared if you DO fall in love with one, even if it takes you by surprise.

& finally 4: There is no rule to how many shops you do or do not have to go to. Just remember, going to too many can be more confusing than helpful.
