Interstate 55 Hotel Properties Update:
We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting news on the progress of the former Budget Inn and Knights Inn hotel clean-up, and we're thrilled to share a major update with you all!
🚧 The removal of furnishings, appliances, glass, metal, and more has been successfully completed! This marks a significant milestone in our efforts to revitalize Grenada.
🏗️ Currently, we are in the process of accepting demolition bids as required by Mississippi statute. Bids must be submitted by April 1st, so there's still time for interested parties to get involved.
💪 The scope of work for the demolition phase is extensive, requiring all buildings to be demolished and cleaned down to the concrete slabs. This thorough approach ensures a clean slate for the future development of our community.
⏰ Once a bid is awarded, the demolition process is expected to take several weeks. We'll keep you all updated with more details on the timeline once a contractor is in place.
