My name is Kadie Salazar, the owner and operator of Kadie Salazar Events. I was born & raised in the small farming community of Gridley, CA where hard work, dedication & being courteous is not just traits your raised with, but a way of life. After planning my wedding in 2014 I saw many challenges Brides, Grooms, Mothers & Fathers face. I pride myself in maintaining a friendly attitude while making

I always try to take pictures at the beautiful weddings I get to be a piece of, but honestly often times I’m so busy in making sure things are running smoothly that I forget or don’t have time (thank goodness for all the professionals photographers who share galleries with me). I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again & again; THANK YOU! The biggest compliment you can ever give is a referral of my small business. I have been humbled by the amount of clients that have referred me to friends & family. I usually do minimal advertising of my business & try to gain business by word of mouth & being the best I can be at my job. By clients, friends & followers sharing my business, liking posts, etc. this is how I network & get to do what I do.

It’s toast time! I always feel like this is the point in the evening that really gets the guests engaged & ready for the rest of the evening OR can drag on & create a lull. I’ve heard a tremendous amount of toasts over time; here at some valuable tips that I feel make for the perfect toast🥂
1️⃣ Make it less than 3-4 minutes. Short & sweet is always best!
2️⃣ Make it come from the heart. Making the toast heartfelt goes a long way; but there’s a difference of heartfelt & taking things too far. No one wants to hear about how the Groom wet the bed his freshmen year of college. If your not sure how far to tow the line read your toast to your Coordinator! I volunteer myself as tribute to help!
3️⃣ For the love of all things…. Don’t have too booze before you give your toast! Giving a toast means your someone near & dear to the Bride & Groom; you’ll have all night to party it up! The Bride & Groom put so much work into bringing their day to life, you can stay sober long enough to make a wonderful toast! Its always the cherry ontop of the perfect day!
☝🏼ALSO on this note DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT give the Mic to a drunk person. This is always the cringe worthy moment that in many instances the DJ saves the night & cuts it off.
4️⃣ Try & have your toast memorized. Look at the audience & the Bride & Groom. The best toasts I’ve herd had an outline but the bulk was memorized.
5️⃣ Select who you want to give a toast ahead of time and give them time to create something memorable. I highly advise against open Mic… 9 times out of 10 it’s a disaster & toasts drag on and on… occasionally it’s awkward because no one volunteers right away to give a toast.
6️⃣ I think this is the most important tip of all; make it FUN! Everyone wants to chuckle, smile, etc. We are all here to celebrate! Good humor goes a long way!
7️⃣ Stay true to you! Don’t try to create something outside your wheel house; and don’t over think it!

I’m still dreaming that I was a small piece in this day. Weddings like Trevor & Evelyn’s makes me truly grateful to be able to follow my passions as a Planner. Their day was in my eyes my wish for all my clients; surrounded by so many family, friends & loved ones. Now these family & loved ones are no ordinary people- these people traveled near & far, constantly lending helping hands to make sure no stone was left unturned with the wild weather we had that day. Above all these exceptional humans greeted each challenge with positivity, a good sense of humor & and smile. These are the tribe I want on wedding days!!

Hello All! 👋🏼 Happy 2024!
I wanted to introduce myself for any new followers. I am the owner of Kadie Salazar Events. I started my business back in 2017, I’ve grown, learned valuable dos & donts while still maintaining my friendly, easy to work with vibe. I love what I do, places I get to see, & all my clients along the way.
I’m a Wife (celebrating 10 years this Oct 😍), a Mom to 3 beautiful girls; Sophia (7) , Emma (4) & Chloe (2). We live a ranching lifestyle; which has taught me to work hard and always persevere with grace & a smile.
Hobbies besides bringing your day to life include being a full time momma (that keeps me pretty darn busy), I’m a a parent club officer, I have a new found love for fitness and am on a journey to be the best version of myself, I love to ride & rope (although my daughters have stolen all my horses, so I suppose this is taking a break until I find a new horse 😆).

What a good Saturday before a busy few weeks ahead! The girls participated in a fun Halloween theme playday with their horses. I’m so proud of our “Tribe” & their growth with their horses over the summer/fall.

The Suttles Wedding was one for the books! The drizzling rain stopped shortly after Rachel made her way down the isle. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house as the ceremony wrapped up and I’m not staying that because of the rain. What a heartfelt, sincere, & powerful job Officiant Don did. The beauty of the day didn’t stop there. This rainy dreary day turned into the most spectacular evening.
Sometimes it’s hard but just trust the process & trust what God has in store.

What a big loss of Doug Heacock. I met Doug years ago when I began planning events for Hilbers Inc. Then I was honored to when he asked me to help with his daughters wedding. What a kind, giving, faithful & fun man he was. I was so sad to hear of his passing yesterday. I wanted to ask all my followers to stop and say a prayer for comfort & peace for his loving family.

Vows: this is always something I get asked about by my couples. I always encourage each couple’s to do what they feel comfortable with and what will be the most memorable for years to come. Writing vows can be intimidating, but here are a few tips to help!
💍 Write them ahead of time! Use your MOH, or Wedding Coordinator to your advantage and read them to them for edits, or pointers.
💍 Use traditional vows at your ceremony & read personal vows privately.
💍 If your not going to do a first look you always can hear each others voices by reading vows- this can also aid in calming nerves and/or holding hands.
💍 In leu of personal Vows you and your fiancé can write letters to read while your getting ready.
💍 Reading vows at sunset photos make for a romantic setting & most of the time the couples are more relaxed and are able to take in the moment more.
💍 Don’t over think the vows- these are basic everyday things you promise to your significant other. Remember the smallest things in life often mean the most.

I seriously don’t know if I could dream up a better western/mountain wedding venue! Evelyn & Trevor’s love was the most radiant amongst the stormy mountain day. Let’s have a talk about hiring professionals on your wedding day! I can not stress the importance of this for a variety of crucial reasons. These are the reasons why I encourage all my clients to hire professional Photographers, Video, DJ, MUAs, Hair, Catering, Florists & Coordinator (ME). So hear me out..
1. It’s your day to relax & fully enjoy your moment. You don’t want to have to be making sure things are decorated accordingly, or if your running on time, etc.
2. Each professional of their craft is just that. They will know the ins and outs and all the things you may not have thought of and will execute your vision perfectly.
3. TIME- a timeline will be made, shared among all the vendors so you can maximize your time on your big day.
4. Family/Bridal Party Management- this is one of the biggest benefits to having a wedding coordinator or planner in my opinion. We all know that for some reason family & bridal party will likely listen to a professional you’ve hired rather than to you or someone you know. Let the professional take the steering wheel, stress & people management.
I highly recommend to always reach out to your favorite vendors if your stuck finding a specific vendor- they most likely have a preferred vendors list of their favorites and that often helps. Happy Planning! 🤍
