Originally, Kiwanis, founded in 1915 in Detroit, Michigan, initially limited its membership to the United States and Canada.

But in 1962, the organization became Kiwanis International, when the membership approved worldwide expansion, allowing Kiwanis clubs to establish a presence on all inhabited continents.

From 1994 to 2005, Kiwanis and UNICEF raised over $105 million to promote iodized salt, education, and testing across 89 countries. Today, 88% of households have access to iodized salt, safeguarding millions of children. Kiwanis continues this vital work through its support of the Iodine Global Network.

Thirty years ago, the Spalding County Fair was a complete rainout. 🌧️ However, the amusement company was able to rearrange their schedule and we continued the fair into a second week, allowing us to pay our bills and support our service projects for 1994-1995.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁:

We are thrilled to announce that Pancake Day is just around the corner. We invite you, your family, and friends to join us on Saturday, February 10th, from 7am to 1pm. You can purchase your tickets early at www.kiwanisofgriffin.com. The pre-sale price for an individual ticket is $8, or you can buy a 4-pack for $30. Buying your ticket on the day of the event will cost $10 for an individual ticket. Please note that there will be no 4-packs available on the day of the event.
