The iris flower is traced back to the times of the Ancient Greeks where the Greek goddess, Iris, was seen as the messenger of God and the link between earth and heaven.

Mildred Maloney started her flower shop here in St. Petersburg in 1954. 70 years ago! The same year I, Janine, was born!
When I was nine years old, I took a flower design class at the local recreation center near my home in Tampa. From that time on I wanted to be a flower lady when I grew up. And my dream came true on March 10, 1989 when I purchased Mildred Maloney flowers.
So this week we are celebrating my 35th anniversary and Mildred Maloney‘s 70th anniversary. As our way of celebrating and thanking all of my loyal customers, we will be doing daily specials this week!
