The Magnolia Moon has many faces ~ Quickly becoming known as the most unique garden wedding venue in Oklahoma, we also host "Music at the Moon" events as well as corporate or private retreats. The area, originally developed in 1986 to be a part of an entertainment complex in the Northwest corner of historic downtown Guthrie was actually used as an amphitheater for approximately 12 years. The fes
tival moved to the cottonwood flats just northwest of downtown, and the amphitheater was abandon. Purchased by two industrious visionaries it was transformed into their home, and the grounds turned in to what many call a "secret garden". Nestled in an unassuming spot - of Oklahoma's original Capital City, The Magnolia Moon has elegance, charm and history all rolled into one. It's simple, yet has a one of a kind look - that is a perfect setting for a unique wedding and celebration. In 2001 this unique transformation caught the attention of HGTV and they came to Guthrie to film a segment called Rezoned. This spotlighted a fire station, a Church, some Kansas grain bins, and an "Oklahoma Amphitheater" that had all been transformed from their previous lives. The segment has been subsequently redone, and is currently playing on the HGTV show, You Live In What? You can see the video by going to the press section. At The Magnolia Moon, we want you to relax, enjoy and savor this lifetime memory of your wedding. With our Ultimate Wedding Weekend you take possession of the entire grounds along with the well apointed acommodations of The Magnolia Manor and the Bettie Jean Histoic Loft on Friday at noon, and the place is all yours until Sunday at noon.
