Aloha from North Shore GOAT!
If you agree the North Shore really is the Greatest Of All Time and want to support local agriculture in our community, please accept our invitation to be one of the 100 founding “herd share” members.
Stop by our farmstand Tuesdays 12-6, pick up a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share and sample their delicious nutritious grass & organically grain fed dairy products. The chevre is so versatile, it can be flavored or left plain to replace all kinds of other cheese- cream cheese on toast, sour cream on burritos, ricotta in Italian dishes etc. The whey is full of protein and can be drank cold as a refreshing protein packed beverage or substituted as stock in soups or added to fortify rice or other grains. The kefir makes delicious fruit smoothies and like plain yogurt can make creamy dressings. Don’t do cow milk?, give the goat a try, it’s easier for your body to digest.

Dreams coming true, and we want to share them with you!
Mahalo ke akua…On this full moon, we express gratitude for our beautiful home, the magic of life, this farmily that has become ohana and risen to my ask of becoming goat farmers, all who helped get our solar powered barn built and for YOUR support of our GOAT adventure…We purchased 23 beautiful goats from Dairy and under the mentorship of Louisa Wooton have started caring for our girls, milking, pasteurizing, learning to make chevre and kefir. More info about GOAT SHARE to come!

We finally have the CSA program steady again. Thanks to the bees we have honey, to for eggs & for mushrooms. We are also delighted to share is now offering massage therapy on the farm:)

Pura Vida! Muchas gracias, and for sharing your knowledge! I was blessed to join Rancho Mastatal an Agroforestry course where we explored their food forests, new syntropic site, enjoyed lovely classroom spaces for slideshows and discussions on silvopasture, made compost and learned their “Mountain Microorganism” fertility practices, practiced propagation, checked out their biodigester and worm ops…saw harvested wood going into their new dormitory, observed rainforest patterns, and of course dined together with our short lived but instant community. Robin and Tim are absolute legends holding space for 24 years inspiring and equipping “permies”, us humans who want to live rich lives in harmony not at the expense of the planet, MAHALO NUI for all you have done! We also did family tour of neighboring multi generational chocolate farm.
We drove by so many farms, so much cattle, roadside corn, but somehow I didn’t see much of the coffee or pineapple Costa is known for (and responsible for high pesticide use)…we missed the cow cheese tour I had scheduled but did make it to sweet Rancho Avellanas to learn more about goats and catch up with farm owner Carlos.
We will be planting more tithonia and look forward to hosting all of you here:)
We need to grow more food on our little island!

Lovely to celebrate a 1st birthday here again…Congratulations Sian & John! Grateful for our farmily and friends we share this magical place with. you did a beautiful job creating a sweet space to celebrate your girl:)
Side note…
Anyone want watermelon radishes? First attempt at pink chips for the party wasn’t too successful, going to try spacing them out more and higher heat. Anyone been successful with this?

Aloha! We are working on our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program relaunch. We have moved pickups to Tuesdays but otherwise are still farming organically (uncertified), still guided by principles of Aloha Aina and Malama Pono and are still working toward mission of growing food and a place for peace health and wellness. Join us:)

Mahalo nui to North Shore O’ahu AgXposure Cohort 12 Crew for your kokua clearing rocks in our new field, sifting compost and netting our mulch piles with hopes to trap CRB. We have been flipping them regularly to keep them hot to interrupt larvae cycle, but we did have an old tarped pile that we found larvae (and precious compost) in today. Will share if the netting traps any! Mulch has always been a part of our growing practice and we will work to establish SOP/best practices so we can keep utilizing it.
Stoked to have prior teammate back on farm today, who now operates North Shore GoFarm with Daniel of
Felt so good to get our new team featuring two GoFarm graduates going on our next big project…more to come soon:)
