Meet Debby Brannan! Debby instructs the Continuing Basic with AKC CGC and Tricks classes on Tuesdays evenings. She not only gives her time to the club as a trial volunteer and committee member but to the students with her goal being to enhance the bond and trust between dog and handler.
Debby would love to talk to you about the FUNdamentals of Basic Obedience and will make you feel at ease if you are new to training. If you see her about say HI!

Meet Katie Meyer. Katie has been in Obedience since the 80s. She owned three Dachshunds who were very successful in the Obedience ring. Katie has been teaching Obedience Run-Thrus since 2006 and currently instructs the Tuesday morning Obedience Run-Thrus at Oriole.

Meet Lynda Folwick. Lynda has been into dog sports since the 80s. She is experienced in mulitple disciplines and has competed in obedience, tracking, scent work, flyball and agility. Lynda assists with teaching the fundamentals of agility in AG1.

This weekend, Oriole DTC has two flyball teams - Scallywags and No Speed Limit - competing in this year's CanAm Flyball Classic event in Indianapolis, IN.

Yesterday the Scallywags open team came in 3rd, and has 2 teams in competition today.

The event is being live streamed on AKC.tv if you'd like to have a look at this very fun sport!

In today's Meet the Trainer series, we would like to introduce you to Ken Briefel! Ken is teaching the Novice/Advanced Handling this semester. He has more than 17 years experience across multiple agility venues: NADAC, AKC, UKI, and USDAA.

ODTC would like you to meet Allison Shinwari and Kristi Eisenberg, two of Oriole's tracking instructors. Tracking demonstrates your dog's natural ability to recognize and follow a scent. Do you have a dog that seems to always have their nose to the ground? Does your companion need a job to help with high energy? Allison and Kristi would love to pass on their knowledge of tracking and tell you how this sport builds a strong bond between you and your dog.
