HERES TO LIFE IN 2025
After capturing a few images that affected me emotionally last year, I knew my hopes for 2025 would be greater than they were in 2024.
It started to become clear in early Fall. I was waist deep in beautiful imagery that needed to be sent over to clients. While processing galleries I would have to stop. Overcome with emotion and the reality of the depth of some images. The magnitude of them.
Am I taking the last sibling photo the brides mom will ever have?
Is this moment with the grooms uncle, his last with him?
Will these photos one day get printed and be the one that has the names of every family member on the back of it? The reference photo for 3+ generations beyond us?
Those thoughts came full circle in October when a client lost a family member that was present at their wedding. Their gallery wasn't even delivered yet but there I was at 9pm editing some of the last photos taken of their loved one to be used at their funeral.

THIS is the focus of 2025. The artist in me is demanding it.
More depth. More importance. More candids. More life.

A DAY TO REMEMBER

Caitlin & Drew had the most magical wedding day surrounded by their loved ones at the Gibson Island Club. The reception design, curated by , was perfect for their bayside celebration.

My favorite moment of the day? The receiving line to welcome their guests into the tent. It set the tone for the evening and made for some lovely candids with friends!

It may be wintery outside but in my mind i'm on the Miles River with these two.

Surrounded by their closest family members, E+J said their vows on the bow of 's yacht, the five star. It was a day they've dreamed of for a while with clear blue skies, water like glass and many champagne toasts for all onboard.

These two chose to tie the knot at the beautiful Gibson Island Club, a place with deep memories – it’s where they spent lots of time together during the lockdown. Even more meaningful, they said "I do" on Caitlin’s parent’s 31st wedding anniversary, adding a layer of legacy and love to their day--and if you know us, we were here for it!

Their waterfront Catholic ceremony was simply breathtaking, and one of our favorite moments was the receiving line as they transitioned into the tent! From the waterfront vows to fun-filled moments, it’s clear these two know how to celebrate love and we were honored to have photographed these two on their day.

If I never shot another wedding photo again, I would be content after seeing Emily and Granny together. Emily & Jay’s day was that special.

From their beloved bernedoodle Auggie taking her first boat ride, to Granny enjoying cake and champagne in the cozy Miles room, this celebration was filled with warmth and love. After 8 years together, these UMD sweethearts shared an intimate three-course meal in DC style, surrounded by the people they cherish most. It was truly a day of beautiful memories!

A wedding full of unforgettable moments! From the groom and his groomsmen getting ready in a classic Baltimore duck pin bowling alley to the couple hopping on stage with the band and surprising their guests with confetti canons, the day was filled with fun and celebration.

But perhaps the sweetest moment? Watching 'Poppy' dance the night away at 91 years young, celebrating his first grandchild to tie the knot 💕

What a beautiful celebration of love, family, and joy!
