What is my favorite part of this job:

I think it is a tie between the excitement of coming up with new ideas in the first meeting with a client and seeing the space for the first time after everything has come together in the end. I love so many other parts of the design process too, but the thrill of bringing a two-dimensional sketch or an idea a year in the making to life is something everyone should be able to experience at least once in their lives.

Something you don’t know about me:

I love to draw, backpack and scuba dive and am a complete Breaking Bad ju**ie.

Darin is a lifelong Californian with a background in various management roles. While he is still fine tuning his exact title, it lies somewhere in between Chief Schlepper and Director of Superfluous Materials. As the self described “grounded one”, Darin does his best to keep up during frequent brain storming sessions and contributes to the building, transporting, and ex*****on of one of a kind items conjured up in the “anything is possible” mind of Amy.

Where I like to be when I’m not working:

You can’t beat making first tracks on the mountain on a cold sunny morning or fishing for trout in a crystal clear lake in the High Sierra.

What is my favorite part of this job:

The best part of this job is seeing how sketches and samples are turned into a physical environment that you can see, smell, and touch.

Something you don’t know about me:

I love the 49ers, I’m lactose intolerant, and a parking spot that allows for a quick exit is far superior to a spot that allows for a quick entry.
