may that same gentle light
continue to shine within us,
around us,
and before us,
a steady blessing,
a guiding grace,
a promise of compassion
carried forward
into the coming year.

May it inspire gentle words,

A World Brimming with Hope and Enchantment

Remember when we saw winter
as a magical wonderland,
when the world did not feel cold
so much as enchanted.

Frost on the windows
was a secret alphabet
meant only for us.
Every breath we exhaled
rose like a fragile spell
cast into the air.

Snow didn’t merely fall;
it performed,
swirling in a soft, deliberate
dance,
inviting us to pause
and marvel.

Even the silence felt alive,
a gentle wrapping around us,
like a story waiting
to be told.

And sometimes, even now,
in the ache of the present,
I wonder what it would take
to see it this way again,
to remember with awe
instead of this lingering ache,
to let winter become
a doorway,
opening softly
into a world
brimming
with enchantment
and the tender glow
of hope.

As we approach the Winter solstice
the days are at their shortest and the
light is sparse.
Allow this period of quietude
to enter..
Make gentle adjustments
to your daily life.
Hibernating instincts are strong
right now, and we need to
act upon them.
Winter is a time for recuperating.
We need to follow the example
of nature,
she is quietly resting and
restoring her energies for the spring.
As the light diminishes,
we are reminded
to slow down and do less.
Too often we ignore
the invitation to stillness.
Winter is a time for waiting ..
The light will return,
as will the flora and the fauna.
In the meantime,
take a deep breath
And relax into the season
of deep rest ...
