These cold temps have me dreaming of warm spring days!
Even though it's freezing cold outside, we're looking ahead and starting more cold hardy annuals that we'll transplant mid-February.
Sweet William, Snapdragon, Campanula, Stock, Foxglove, Scabiosa are some of the seeds we're starting now. The first succession of these varieties was planted out in October/November and are tucked in under frost cloth.
Growing these cold hardy plants allows us to have stronger, healthier plants with flowers earlier.
And who doesn't love that?!

Celebrate love, growth, and connection at our Growing Together workshop—a unique experience for couples to bond while learning the art of flower and vegetable gardening.

What You'll Experience:

Discover the secrets to growing vibrant flowers and fresh vegetables and herbs sustainably with special emphasis on the challenges of growing in southeastern NC.

Participate in hands-on gardening activities designed for two including starting a full tray of vegetable, herb and flower seeds.

Enjoy a guided tour of our seed-starting area, where all the magic begins.

Is this the year you're going to learn how to grow veggies and herbs? We're offering our Growing a Veggie and Herb Garden twice this year (last year sold out fast!). The first workshop is Wednesday, February 26th, at 10 am and another on Saturday, March 1st, at 10 am.

There’s something special about going to your garden and harvesting veggies and herbs that you grew yourself! Not only is the process fun and fulfilling, but the end results are delicious!
