It's day 1 of our Growing Gorgeous Ranunculus tips series- Choosing the right corms.

Not all corms are created equal!

Choose size 5/6 or larger for stronger stems, and bigger blooms.

Pick firm, healthy corms with no mold or damage

Bonus tip- the dollar store is NOT the place to purchase corms.

Suddenly the neighbor's chickens aren't so cute!
Any suggestions to keep them out?

Yesterday's Porch Petals bouquets were full of the season's best blooms- zinnias, celosia, basil, mahogany hibiscus and a few smaller dahlias tucked in. I love this burgundy/fuschia/cream color palette so much, it feels like early fall to me.

Our Porch Petals subscriptions are sold out but you can pick up a similar, slightly smaller market bouquet at the farm by appointment or at The Wilmington Farmers Market on Saturday 8-1.
Pre-orders available on our website.

I hope you have a beautiful late summer/early fall day đź’•
