The first concert of the 24-25 season is in the books. Thank you to all of the orchestra members who worked very hard to perform a successful musical show. Our Maestro was on point and the Swinging Seven was swinging. See you Saturday Dec. 21st at 3 pm for our Christmas Concert!

Our orchestra has current openings for Violin 1, Viola and Cello. 🎻 Ideal candidates will have availability for Sunday afternoon and evening rehearsals in Hanover, PA, at least a music grade 3-4 reading ability and able to practice on their own at home. We are a community orchestra with players ranging from 16 to 80 years old!!

40 students representing 7 different school districts joined forces as HSO KIDS! in helping Batman conquer his foes with great music. They did a fabulous job performing 'Batman Theme', the 'Romance' from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, and music from 'Zack Snyder's Justice League'!

We have a record 40 students registered for HSO KIDS! this spring. They will perform the Suite from 'Zack Snyder's Justice League', the Romance from Mozart's 'Eine Kleine Nachtmusik', and Neal Hefti 's 1966 'Batman Theme' with the HSO at our Batman Concert on Sunday April 7, 3 pm in the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center. With the downtown power outage on Sunday, we had to rehearse with the light from our cellphones and 3 emergency flood lights. It made our rehearsal hall feel like a......BAT CAVE! Very fitting as we prepare for our Batman concert on April 7; 3 pm @ The Eich.

We are mourning the loss of cellist Craig Rineman, who passed away on September 11, 2023. Craig was a valuable member of the HSO for many years. We will miss him and the exuberance he brought to the orchestra at rehearsals and performances.
