My heart is overwhelmed with happiness!

We were incredibly busy on Valentine’s Day and got a little behind with production later in the day.

This man came in with a little boy to pick up an arrangement he had ordered. I let him know they were making it and it would be done in about 5-10 minutes. He was super cool about it and just took a seat at the table to wait.

I came out with his arrangement shortly after and the little boy (who looked like he was close in age to my grandson) was hugging one of the rainbow unicorns we sell. The man thanked me for the arrangement and told the boy to put the unicorn back.

The little guy put it back on the windowsill and looked at the man and said, “It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” Both the man and I smiled as they went to leave over the cuteness of the comment.

Right before they walked out the door, I stopped them and said, ”Wait, wait! Get the unicorn! Take it with you! Happy Valentine’s Day!”

The man tried to say no, but I insisted. The little boy was so happy as he went back and wrapped his arms around his beautiful unicorn.

It was so sweet, and it made me so happy the rest of the night!

Then, today, the man came back into the store with a card for me.

I was like, “Oh, that’s so nice of him!”

Then I opened it and inside of the card was $100!!!

I was like, “Oh no, no, no!”

But then I read the letter that was folded up inside the card and it all made sense and literally made my heart explode!

He said, “The other day I came in to pick up an arrangement for my friend who happens to be deployed in Kuwait right now. The arrangement was for his children. They are 3 and 2.  they miss him very much and he won’t be back until next November. I was just trying to make their lives a little bit easier. I came in with my three-year-old son, and he noticed the rainbow unicorn stuffed animal right away. When our arrangement was ready, my son put the unicorn back and said “It’s so beautiful!”  You, out of the absolute kindness of your heart, told him he could have it. I was floored, and didn’t know what to do in the moment. It was true kindness. He slept with that unicorn last night. I don’t want to take away from your kindness by paying now for the unicorn. Instead, you’ve inspired me to pay it forward. Please use the money included to pay for somebody’s arrangement who seems like they could use a break. Tell them that the kindness of your heart sparked kindness in another.

Thank you so much for making my son’s day, and also for enlightening me as to the kindness that still exists in our world today!!!”

This is the stuff that makes me continue to have faith in how wonderful people can be!

I, unfortunately, did not catch the man’s name, but if you read this, please know I will definitely pay it forward ten fold and hope it continues to spark that same kindness in even more people!

THANK YOU! You are amazing and I hope you don’t mind me sharing! But I think people need to know there are people out there like you!

You must have your own vehicle, license, Insurance, and smart phone, but we pay $17-18 per hour plus mileage, and you can get tips for great service! This position includes but is not limited to prepping the fruit to be used, letting management know when new orders need to go in, overseeing incoming orders for timelines in preparation, calculating how much of each fruit needs to be cut and prepared, minimizing waste while ensuring product quality, dipping fruit in chocolate and decorating accordingly, answering phones to take orders, helping ensure deliveries are made timely, assisting customers who are picking up it coming into the store to place orders, wrapping the arrangements for delivery, tracking the production process in the computer system, and cleaning all equipment and surfaces at the end of the shift.

I want to just send out a HUGE thank you to everyone who ordered from us this Holiday season! We unfortunately had to shut down production and refuse to take orders at the end to ensure we had quality arrangements that got out in time! I’m so sorry to anyone who we couldn’t help. The goal for next year is to get better and better every year! Although I’d love to think we are perfect and will get no complaints, if for some reason, you’re not happy with what we did, please just call us and let us know! We will do what we can to make it right!! And, seriously, thank you!!! We beat our number from last year by almost double! We have the BEST customers and can’t thank each of you enough for supporting us through the year to help make your occasions memorable. And to everyone who helped us out with production last minute… omg … you (and your moms who sent you to us! Hahahah)… we have a very special thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️ We are so thankful and blessed!
