I'm almost into the quieter season for weddings, so I promise I'll get to posting some updates soon and feature all these gorgeous couples I've been photographing and filming this summer and fall. But for now - here are a couple of sweet reviews that came in. Thank you! You guys make my DAY!

Amber and Joe wanted their wedding to look like a tropical garden party, so they planned a summer wedding at Castleton Event Center, and what a wedding it was! It wasn't only the weather that was a little steamy - this couple really knew how to pose for picture moments that were FIRE! If you can't tell from the pictures - I really enjoyed working with everyone at this wedding. They were so open to suggestions and just wanted to be there with Amber and Joe to make sure they had a perfect day to remember. I love how their pastors led the ceremony together, how Amber and Joe left empty chairs at the ceremony in memory of family members who were there in spirit, and how their cocktail hour spilled over from the indoor space to the gardens/lakefront where their guests mingled and enjoyed the beautiful day. Amber and Joe, best wishes!

I'm a big fan of the trend for embracing smaller guest lists at weddings, so when Kayla and Marcus asked if I would photograph their wedding, I was all in. And while there may have only been 30 guests present to celebrate with them, the love in the room was plenty big enough! All their important people were present, and they just seemed so relaxed and calm. Thank you for inviting me to witness your wedding and capture the memories. It was an honor!

Neither Tommy nor Allison can tell you how they originally met because it happened sometime when they were around 8. But what started as friends turned into a lot more, and after four years of dating, they decided to tie the knot. Allison and Tommy love going on adventures together: kayaking, cooking, tennis, traveling, running road races, painting and more. They know how to make any part of their life feel like it's the most exciting adventure because they are in it together. Best wishes, Allison and Tommy and big thank you to Katlyn and Brian for rocking the photos!

I could try to type out a summary of Gina and Pat's wedding, but Gina already wrote something that's perfect! So I'm copying from her!

"July 13, 2024 marked 4 years since Patrick & I met. We thought it would be the perfect date for our wedding. We are so blessed and grateful for all the wonderful love and memories we shared with our loved ones. We just can’t thank the vendors enough who made our dream wedding a reality and can’t recommend them enough. (vendors listed below) Thanks to everyone who traveled great distances to witness our special day. We are just so excited to begin our new chapter together, and see where life takes us. We are so grateful and beyond excited to have our families join as one. "

Best wishes, Gina and Pat! I hope you continue to make each other the happiest people in the world when you are together!

Ilona and Jonathan met in the summer of 2021. Ilona had just moved back to the USA after living abroad. They officially got engaged in 2023. Jonathan had been secretly ring shopping for awhile and kept making excuses for why they couldn't/shouldn't get engaged whenever Ilona brought it up! The ring arrived a couple days before their camping trip, but he didn't want to ask on the trip, because it didn't feel like the right time. Here's the rest of the story in Ilona's words: "I was working from home the day we got engaged. Jonathan was also off that day, but he was just hanging around the house. I started wondering what he was up to, so I asked. As I sat down next to him, he said "what's a question you've been asking me?" I said "do you love me?" He laughed and said "yes - what's another question?" I thought for a moment and said "will you marry me?" He immediately knelt down and asked "so, will you marry me?" And the rest is history!

Best wishes, Ilona and Jonathan!

When we talked about the plans for Talia and Brendan's wedding, she kept mentioning that she wanted the space "festooned with flowers." So I was expecting some very cool decor - wow, was I blown away! I'm a sucker for arrangements that include something out of the ordinary. There were grapes and artichokes in the centerpieces - how cool is that?!? But what was the most amazing part about their wedding had nothing to do with flowers, decor, the cannon, or any other "things." Talia was really hoping that her dad would be able to walk her down the aisle - and he did! I don't think there was a dry eye in the place watching them in the church. (And by the way, they picked St. Brendan's for the church - very fitting.) We all sobbed again when Talia and her dad had their father-daughter dance at the reception. I tell my kids all the time, "what's the most important thing?" The right answer: "family and friends." It's the people in your lives that make it all worthwhile. Brendan and his mom also tore up the dancefloor, and even though it was a warm summer day, their guests packed in front of the band for the rest of the night. Talia and Brendan - what a beautiful start to your happily ever after. Best wishes!

One more wedding to share today, and then I have to get back to editing! But I had to share Caity and Hunter's video, because it was pretty epic. I want sailboats at all my weddings from here forward!!!

Caity and Hunter met through a mutual friend on Caity's 23rd birthday. They asked that same friend to be their officiant and he shared the whole story of that first meeting during the ceremony. They got engaged on April 1st (not an April fools joke!) at the top of Sunday River Mountain. Caity said that "Hunter's friends have been begging him to learn to ski since he was 10 years old, and I finally convinced him to try it last year. It was as much a surprise that he could get down the mountain, as it was that he popped the question at the top!" Caity has been teaching Hunter to ski. He's been teaching her to surf. And they both are enjoying traveling to new places and have a goal of seeing at least one new destination a year together. Caity and Hunter - I love your sense of adventure! Not even a little drizzle (OK, it was more than a little at times) could stop you from the wedding of your dreams. Congratulations!

Exactly four years before their wedding date, Meg and Aadhar met for the first time in-person. They connected on a dating app right at the beginning of the pandemic and after a few weeks of messaging and zoom calls, their first date was a hike at Mt. Wachusett. After a few hours of hiking, they reluctantly parted ways, because "nothing else was open at the time." The following weekend, outdoor dining opened up and they quickly reserved a table at a Scottish restaurant in Jamaica Plain. Hiking and cooking quickly became a weekly bright spot for both of them. They still enjoy going on hikes, and as Aadhar says, "Meg brings out the my adventurous side. We also recently joined a farm share and that ignited an interest in exploring new recipes together." They are also learning to play tennis together, and enjoy relaxing while watching Great British Baking Show. Meg and Aadhar got engaged on the top of Mt. Wachusett, where they relived their first date! It was much colder on the proposal day, but worth it for the memories! Best wishes, Aadhar and Meg.

Lynda and Drew met six years ago, and while they both know where they met, if you ask Drew, you'll get a random new story each time! He likes to keep you on your toes! And although Lynda knew exactly when they were going to get engaged ("Drew's not very good at keeping secrets," was her comment when I asked about the proposal), he did manage to surprise her with lunch at her favorite restaurant with family! While on break from school, they were visiting Lynda's mom in Rhode Island. Drew suggested a walk on the beach (they like to go on hikes, ski and cook together and so while walks are not out of the ordinary, Lynda said she knew something was up this time!). Drew popped the question on the beach, and of course, Lynda said yes! Best wishes, Lynda and Drew! Your wedding photos are gorgeous - great work, Lisa and Sage! You two rocked it!

It's halfway through July already and I haven't posted about all of my beautiful June weddings! And there were a lot... Which is part of why I haven't posted! So here goes!

Brianna and Jordan hosted an epic party for their wedding reception! They set the vibe by asking one of their friends to be their flower man (and he crushed it!), and their unity ceremony wasn't anything standard... They did shots! I had so much fun with this wedding party that when the time was up, I couldn't believe it was already over. Best wishes, Brianna and Jordan! I knew you'd have a beautiful wedding and it did not disappoint!
