Now that it's winter, we're into wedding open house season! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the big expos where I get to be creative with booth decor and meet crowds of excited folks... But there's something really special about open houses AT venues because there's more time to really talk about upcoming weddings and connect with the vision couples have for THEIR day... Plus, it's neat to see the creativity venues have when they get to pull out all the stops! So I'm spending a few days getting new swag all ready (and each venue is going to get something a little different and personalized - super excited for this! I'll have to share some pictures when they are finished).
First up, one of my favorites, Barker House. They are having their special tasting event for their booked couples on 2/5! I'm so excited to meet couples in person and for them to experience the menu - lots of great food to try! If you want a venue with HISTORY, this is a place you NEED to see. You don't have to go crazy on decor because it's already very unique and an iconic spot in Scituate, and with the lighthouse just down the street, it's easy to see why I love working here. Plus the team is just amazing - you are in really good hands.
Then, 1620 Winery on 2/9. If you haven't seen the inside of this venue, you are missing out - it's STUNNING - definitely a photographer's dream venue and a place that HAS to be seen to be believed! I've worked with Jenn for a number of years now (let's not say how many so I can still pretend I'm young). She is one of the best coordinators in the business.
Hotel 1620 is having their showcase the following weekend on 2/16. This place has it all! You can make a whole wedding weekend out of it (hotel stay included), and their location can't be beat! Right in the heart of it all at Plymouth harbor. Seriously - have your rehearsal and your rehearsal dinner here or at one of the very nearby restaurants. Get ready in the massive suites. Have your ceremony and reception right here and then go afterparty at the bars and walk (stumble) home to the hotel!
In March, I'll be at Ipswich Country Club on 3/9 - if you're hunting for a location on the North shore, you have to check this place out. Every time I'm there I'm so impressed with the experience. Alicia is one of the sweetest people and she's super helpful with planning. (I think the swag I've put together for them is one of my favorite so far as well - it also has the most puns, which might be why I like it so much...)
And to finish up the winter, I'll be at Miraval Gardens tasting event for their booked couples on 3/23. Another one of my favorite venues - it's a true hidden gem. IYKYK - walk in here, and you'll see what I'm talking about. I have to limit myself when we're taking pictures in the garden because I could spend the whole wedding day out there taking pictures with beautiful couples. I think it was built with photography in mind! And with a wall of windows that look right out into that garden space, and newly remodeled cocktail area, if you're seeking a modern space for your wedding, schedule a tour. You won't be disappointed - the team here is full of energy and experience. You're in excellent hands!
For now, that's all for the winter... Stop by and say hi!
