Hey All,
We are on schedule with the Community Canvas group, H.C.H.S. Art Teachers & Art Students, and City of Harlan Street Crews to lay down Crosswalk Murals this coming Monday Sept. 9th.

As a Reminder...
There will be Street Closures at 6th & Court, and 7th & Market for this community project -- starting early morning Mon. Sept. 9th to early morning Tues. Sept. 10th.

Attached is a pic noting the locations of the Crosswalk Art.

The Forgotten Art the Artists; Art in the Park, Harlan, IA

The Shelby County Wellness Alliance is pairing up with the Harlan Community School District for the next Community Canvas public art project! You have surely seen the first Community Canvas project, the amazing mural outside the Harlan Theater. For the next project, a team of HS art students will be completing four crosswalk murals on the streets of downtown Harlan in September, and they need your help with funds to cover their supplies.

Information on the project, including the preliminary designs, and how to give is available. We appreciate you considering this opportunity to fund our projects! Five acclaimed Irish musicians (all from Iowa!) will treat us to jigs, reels, laments, and more, played on whistle, drum, guitar, accordion, and fiddle.
