Harrington Opera House Society

The Harrington Opera House Society is sponsoring a series of group dulcimer lessons taught by Karen Robertson. Those who have attended quilt shows at the Opera House or Sidewalk Rummage Fundraisers in the past few years may have heard Karen playing her dulcimers quietly in the background. Folks often stopped to listen and inquire about this lovely American instrument.
Now they can learn about it's history and even how to play a few tunes. The dulcimer can be a lovely solo or ensemble instrument, or accompany voice or other instruments.

"Learn to Play the Mountain Dulcimer" will be taught in a series of five 90 minutes sessions beginning on March 5th (3:30 - 5:00 pm)
The group lessons will be aimed at adults but youth 13 & up are welcome. REGISTRATION is REQUIRED.

There will be opportunities to participate with minimal time commitments as well as for larger investments in supporting & focusing on the future of the community of Harrington.

We need you to help us Launch Harrington Heart & Soul!

If you live, work, or play here, join us to begin the process of involving everyone as we dream of Harrington's furture then create a plan to make it happen.

Among other things our coaches will lead us in an important community network map exercise. This network map will help ensure we're able to hear everyone's voice via Community Heart & Soul™

Santa visited with lots of folks, young and young-at-heart last Saturday!
The youngest was 5 weeks old; and another was 93 years young!
Thanks to all who stopped in to visit Santa and support the Harrington Opera House Society!

This is just a reminder that Santa is VERY busy this time of year!
He arrives at the Harrington Opera House via fire truck at 10 a.m.
It you want to visit with him at the Harrington Opera House, please plan to arrive between 10:10 am and 12:30 p.m.

When I count my blessings today they will include all of the customers who have supported Home & Makers and all of the small businesses that make our store so unique and beautiful. We’re open Friday and Saturday as usual and beginning Sunday, we’ll be open 10-2 every Sunday until Christmas. Shop small, shop local. Thank you for your support ❤️❤️❤️
