This isn’t our usual content, but we wanted to share a bit about the employee experience here at the Manor at Mountain View:

Yesterday, we held our annual employee Christmas party here at the Manor at Mountain View. We were very blessed to have such a busy December, so we did end up having this event mid-January! We participated in some fun activities like secret santa and white elephant, but also held a brief staff meeting to begin the new year and a tour to ensure each and every staff member is comfortable with knowing the property— no matter how long they’ve been with us. Out of all our staff members who attended (though some were unable to make it), some are with the Manor at Mountain View, some are with WGC Catering (our in-house caterer), and several work in some crossover between the two!

We often incorporate fun events and incentives into our staffing program, and we are very proud that our staff has become what it is today.

With that being said, we are now hiring as we will soon begin another busy wedding season! Contact us if you’d be interested in working in a fun, fast-paced work environment in which we make a beautiful day happen every single day.

This week, we worked on creating new artificial floral centerpiece toppers! If you know us here at the Manor at Mountain View, you know we offer tons of different centerpiece items/ decor for the wedding reception tables at no charge, so we know it is important to keep up with them looking beautiful. That being said, we made these new floral toppers simply to replace our old ones, so they can look bigger, fuller, and better than ever. Swipe to see some of the finished products!

The pictured centerpieces are what we like to call “accent pieces,” meaning that they are generally chosen as a second centerpiece to compliment the originally chosen centerpiece(s) on every other table to give the reception room some dimension. They look truly beautiful and we recommend choosing two centerpieces quite often! Whether you choose one centerpiece, two, or three, remember, it is at no additional charge here at the Manor at Mountain View if you choose from our WIDE variety of decor items :)

Directly after our open house on January 12th, our owner took our managerial staff for our annual retreat, during which we discuss how we can improve our business even more in the coming year. We consider what we did last year and what we want to incorporate/ continue to do moving forward in the new year. Sound Results Entertainment was formed in 2014 and proudly provides more than just music, offering lighting, special effects, photo booths, monogram projections, and so much more. There are a variety of packages available, including one specific to the Manor at Mountain View, but custom-tailored packages and/ or a la cart items/ services can easily be created or added.

Newly engaged?! This post is for you!

Christmas and the winter holidays can be so romantic, which is why many proposals take place during this time of year!

You may be thinking: what are your next steps?
1. First of all, enjoy the moment— you’re engaged! Celebrate with your fiancé and/ or with loved ones. During this time, you can also start thinking of the number of guests you want to have at your wedding, what kind of wedding vibe you’re looking for, and what to look for in terms of budget.
2. Begin touring venues! We offer tours of our beautiful property, The Manor at Mountain View, during the daytime and evening on weekdays, as well as some weekend days during the winter months (but only if we happen to not have a wedding on that day). We offer tours of our lovely wedding venue at no charge and try to be flexible due to people’s conventional and non-conventional work/ school hours. Tours at our venue are typically 40 minutes long, but tour lengths may vary at other venues. Make sure to come with questions!
3. After you set a date and book your venue, begin booking with other vendors— catering, photography, videography, DJ, baker, officiant, etc. We will be holding our annual open house on Sunday, January 12th from 11 to 2, during which we will be showcasing some of the vendors on our preferred list as well as some other vendors. We invite all prospective couples to our open house, whether you are already booked with us, are still looking, or are booked elsewhere (though we do hope you book with us!). Here at the Manor at Mountain View, we have an exclusive in-house caterer, WGC Catering, so we make it easy to have fresh food without having to search for a separate vendor.

2025-2026 brides booked with the Manor at Mountain View, save the date (and have your bridesmaids do the same) for Saturday, February 15th, 2025 from 12 to 2. We’ll have an afternoon of fun, during which you can stroll the property again and your girls can see the bridal getting-ready suite (and claim their bedrooms for the morning to get ready in!). Last weekend, we held our “Tour of Tasting” event for our exclusive in-house caterer, WGC Catering. WGC Catering is our caterer for each and every wedding and event we host here at the Manor at Mountain View.

The “Tour of Tasting” event is one during which couples who have already booked with us may attend in order to choose the menu for their weddings! Once a couple has chosen to book with us here at the Manor at Mountain View by signing our contract, we set a date and time for their decor meeting and ask that they book themselves a tasting with our catering side. We allow our couples to bring four guests with them for this group tasting event— so six people total. We offer these group tasting events every month in our winter season and every few months in our busier spring, summer, and fall seasons. Like everything at the Manor at Mountain View, there are no fees nor charges for our Tour of Tasting events. We often receive great feedback from these events and we tell our couples (and their four guests) to come hungry and ready to try some delicious food!

*These group tasting events are booked/ scheduled only and we do not accept walk-ins for this particular event, because our caterer WGC Catering cooks for the scheduled amount of people. The Tour of Tasting events are for our wonderful booked, contracted couples only.*

Welcome to the first of an expectedly long series of showcasing and featuring our preferred vendors! We will begin with the DJs on our preferred vendors list, which currently sits at 5 DJs in the Central PA area, with a recent addition :)

To start off, we’d like to feature Josh from DJ Mast Productions and say congratulations on being recently added to our list!

A message from Josh:
“DJ Mast Productions specifically began as a DJ business to provide our clients a fully customized experience that they could not find elsewhere. We saw a need in the event industry for entertainment that genuinely cared about the vision of our client and to create the exact vibe they were expecting in their party. Our mission, intent, and quality of mixing and audio is supported by our diligent effort in every event we perform.
We have been successfully operating for over 14 years and collectively have many more years of experience in the music industry.
We love the professionalism and knowledge of the Manor at Mountain View; which helps our task of facilitating events to happen for our clients that much more seamless. We’ll be holding our annual open house here at the Manor at Mountain View on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Whether you have booked your wedding with us, are still searching for a venue, or have booked your wedding elsewhere, we invite you to join us for an afternoon of wedding planning enjoyment! Megan and Tanner, we were elated to host your wedding day at the Manor at Mountain View. Not only do you make such a beautiful couple, but you also treated us with such kindness that we will continue to cherish. Thank you for continuing to send love our way, and we hope that your marriage will flourish because of the love you share and send to others. Your kind words and acts actually brought our wonderful owner Angie to tears (of course, happy tears!).

When our couple needs something on wedding day, we RUN to get it for them! We actually keep an emergency kit here at the Manor at Mountain View with little essentials that people don’t often think to bring on wedding day. If you need tissues, we keep small packets of tissues that read “happy tears” on the front. This past weekend, two groomsmen fell during a “dive shot” getting photos done and got mud all over their pants, so our staff came to the rescue with shout wipes and elbow grease!
