It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Celina Drake aka Kasey Crowe, the very first Miss Gay Harrisonburg.
As the Miss Gay Harrisonburg emeritus, she held the very first crown with grace, strength, and a passion that inspired many. Her dedication to celebrating diversity, and paving the way for LGBTQ+ representation in Harrisonburg area starting back in 1996 will never be forgotten.
Celina was more than a queen; she was a sister, a friend, and a pillar of strength. She stood up for what she believed in and shared her light, love, and resilience in ways that made her truly unforgettable. Her legacy will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched. As we mourn this tremendous loss, let us also celebrate her memory and the boundless love she had for the art of drag and the Miss Gay Harrisonburg Pageant.
