Our Queen. 👑 Miss Gay Harrisonburg, Michelle Devereaux Livigne 👑 Thank you, The Breeze

You don’t want to miss the ninth edition of The Breeze:
JMU Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) in conjunction with the University Program Board (UPB) welcomed drag queens from Rhinestone Productions to Wilson Hall on Monday for their annual performance.

From researching to curating exhibits to teaching, art history professor Laura Katzman has passion in spades. In August, Katzman received the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery 2024 Director’s Essay Prize for her work on Lorenzo Homar’s “Cine Alba,” a portrait of five U.S. artists visiting Puerto Rico during the 1940s.

Junior safety Jacob Thomas committed to JMU as a walk-on after originally committing to Richmond. Now, Thomas has become a vital part of the Dukes’ defense and credits his family for helping him achieve this.

The pressure surrounding body image and weight can lead to unhealthy eating behaviors and disordered eating. College students’ obsession with the ‘freshman 15’ only exacerbates this issue.
