2 weeks ago, I attended Business After Hours at The 224 EcoSpace, hosted by the Black Business Alliance (BBA) — and it was an amazing experience!

It was my second time meeting Ann-Marie, the Executive Director of BBA, and once again, she shared incredible insight and encouragement. The room was filled with inspiring entrepreneurs, creative minds, and powerful conversations about growth, connection, and collaboration.

As I continue to scale Posh Paint, I’m learning that every event, every handshake, and every conversation matters. Opportunities like this remind me that networking is more than exchanging business cards — it’s about building relationships that can open doors and spark new ideas.

This week I had the opportunity to participate in an incredible Speed Networking Session through the Program — connecting one-on-one with mentors who offered valuable feedback, resources, and encouragement for my journey as an entrepreneur.

I had the pleasure of connecting with these phenomenal women — including another Candace (spelled the same way! 😉). We clicked instantly, shared great laughs, and exchanged meaningful ideas. I can’t wait to reconnect and continue learning from them.
