On August 1st, Hartford instituted Hootie & the Blowfish Day in honor of the band playing at the grand opening of Xfinity Theatre back in ’95 when it was still The Meadows! 🐡 It was an honor to have them back for our 30th season!

We are excited to share that doors are open and we’re ready to start the show at 6:45pm! Please safely proceed to the gates. To make entry faster and get to the music, please leave all unnecessary items in your car.

Train & REO Speedwagon Fans: Hey guys, here's the deal - we are currently under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch at the venue.

If you are in line for the show tonight, please seek shelter in your vehicle until the lightning subsides. If you were dropped off, please see our staff for a place to shelter.

For those on the lawn, please take shelter in the restrooms & other covered areas. For those in reserved seating, please remain in your seat. For those outside the venue, please shelter in your vehicle. We expect storms to arrive soon and last for a few hours. As a result, we are planning to hold doors until the storms pass. We think things will clear up and allow us to host a great show, but we will continue to monitor and are committed to ensuring your safety first and foremost.

Please bear with us as we navigate these conditions. We love shows and we hate it every time we have to do this. Your patience and understanding mean a lot to us.

We will keep you posted with updates via our social channels every 30 minutes. Stay tuned
