When you turn your annual girl's trip into a family trip, it just makes sense to capture the fun that the kids add.
Thanks to these moms for having me out to capture some pictures of this year's family vacation, and to the kiddos for understanding this assignment. The blur of the kids was 100% intentional against the steadiness of the moms, with the movement of the wind in the hair, waves, and sand. It's a picture I've wanted to try for a while, and everyone was game, and I'm so happy with how it turned out!

We have our Le Petite Wedding Package which is offered Sunday-Thursday, for when the "date" is more important than the "day" of the week. I've kinda been slacking when it comes to posting images but, I do love to feature fun and different things and, this past weekend's wedding DEFINITELY qualifies. I shot a wedding that was actually held in the infamous Peaches Records on Magazine St., with a reception that followed. When I asked what brought the couple to Peaches for their ceremony, I was told they have spent so much time at Peaches, that it's just like extended family. I asked Momma Peaches and her daughter just how many weddings have they hosted in the store and was told, other than one elopement, this was the only one. I was kinda surprised at that. And, if you scroll through the photos, you'll see one that comes with an explanation that is just classic New Orleans. But then, so was the wedding. Congratulations Halli & Jeremy. May your marriage be surrounded with light, love, and a lifetime of music.

I will close booking to Papa Noel sessions no later than this evening. If you have previously inquired but did not respond, or send your deposit, your spot is not being held, and you won’t be able to book after this evening. We have, at this moment, only one Saturday morning spot open and any other availability for Saturday or Sunday would be around noon. We have a cutoff based on number of kids, which is based off of number of special gifts Papa will be bringing so, once we reach that number of kids, booking closes. Thus, the “no later than this evening” as, it could be sooner if we reach capacity.
For those who are booked, please remember to send me the ages and names of the children who will be coming to visit.
We are very excited to see all of our little friends this year!

It’s Time! Here is your chance to schedule a visit with Papa Noel!
These visits will be held outdoors on the Westbank, but we do have access to an indoor space in the event of inclement weather.
A $50 non refundable deposit is required to book each 15 minute session and extended families should plan on booking back to back sessions.

All Papa Noel galleries have been delivered! Thank you to all of our friends that came out to visit with us. This was our biggest year yet, and we even had a little friend fly in from Florida for her first visit with Papa!
As often happens, once people share their images, I start getting inquiries about if we are doing this again before Christmas. Papa has a very busy schedule so we are unable to offer another session this year. However, if you'd like to be put on the alert list for 2023, feel free to send us a message. Papa Noel pics are usually offered the weekend immediately following Thanksgiving or the first weekend of December, depending on a few different variables. Next year, for our 10th anniversary season, we may also be able to offer something a little earlier and ever so slightly different, but definitely still a Cajun Christmas with Papa Noel! I still have a few more things to photograph before the end of the year (including my youngest son's graduation from college THIS weekend!!!!) but, we'd like to wish you all a very Joyeux Noel!

Posting here first. If there are any photographers out there, budding or otherwise, I have some Intuition Backgrounds poly backgrounds that I’m selling. Some I never had a chance to use, most were one time use. Most were laid flat and shot looking down but two may have been clipped. These are a thick paper backdrop. All have been stored rolled so reverse rolling or if laying flat to photograph, weighting the corners to help keep smooth is suggested. Local pick up only. Smoke free, bulldog friendly environment but used drops were used in clients homes.
All backdrops are loose, no tubes included.

🎄Here it is, Christmas session info. Colorful Christmas will be at an indoor location and weather permitting, Papa Noel will be outdoors (with an indoor backup location arranged, just in case) both, on the Westbank. As of right now, I am planning on Papa Noel sessions for Sunday, Dec 4th but, Papa is available for Sat December 3rd if there is enough interest.
Don’t wait too long to book. I always get session inquiries after photos are shared but we are unable to offer a second weekend this year due to busy schedules. We Ho Ho Hope to see you this year! 🎅🏼

Not usually one to feature pictures of myself on this page, I decided I needed to to showcase this backdrop and set up I could not wait to share with you all.
When I first saw this Christmas backdrop last year, I fell in love with it and it's versatility! It truly allows you to be creative with your clothing selections and be unique. No more cookie cutter Christmas card pics! I borrowed my son's ugly Christmas sweater jacket and paired it with some hot pink but, this backdrop can be used with yellows, blues, greens, black....so many options. Matching pajamas, ugly Christmas sweaters, tshirts and blue jeans, the options are endless to express yourselves and make your families holiday pictures unique. And, we can play around with the holiballs to add to the fun of your images. I will be holding mini sessions with this set up the Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving, here on the westbank. If you'd like more info, comment below and I will send you the info when I release the details.
Photo cred to Southern guy, who warned me before I walked outside yesterday that all that hair straightening I did the night before was all for naut, as the humidity I was about to walk out into was "2000 percent". Boy, he didn't lie. But that's just Christmas in the South, I guess.

Houston, we have a Two Year Old!
A special little boy turned two last month and momma and daddy threw a party in his honor with the theme of "TWO the Moon" for their little moon obsessed cutie. In keeping with the theme, I made sure we had a session suitable for a future shuttle commander, complete with "official" space mission headshot for his future resume. Gives a whole new twist to "Love you TWO the moon and back"
