It's what's for Dessert Tonight, for my Three Teners (Roby Rose Mary, Mistletoe Holly and Paddy Boy). My own version of Pupacino Cups! Homemade Apple Sauce, No Sugar, Cinnamon, Tumeric, Goats Milk, Blueberries & Whipped Cream. Goats milk is great for digestion ( Paddy Boy gets an upset stomach with the Fire Works). 💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾💕

Today would of been my Dad's 86 th Birthday. And what a Beautiful day it was today. The weather here was perfect. When I was sitting outsider early this morning, I looked at our Weber Grill and remembered the day we got it in the early 1980's when Jordan Marsh had their Super Sale Grand Opening in Hyannis. My father who was not the Biggest lover of shopping planned a family field trip to the Cape Cod Mall to "help" as he called it my Mom shop for Sales. She was the ultimate Bargain Shopper of Sales. When my Dad was having one his first triple bypass open Heart operations she left Filene's Basement in Down Town Crossing in Boston as an emergency number, while she & her brother, Richard ( another Bargain Shopper like her) shopped. Shopping was her therapy.
We packed up in my Dad's car "The Regal Beagle", 1980 Buick Regal, & the name cane from the bar in the tv show, "Three's Company.". He always named our cars as I have since my first one. When we arrived, he got the coupon books at the entrance pulled out his scissors cutting out the coupons he wanted. My Mom & I were watching him with amazement & laughing. Again , remember my Dad wasn't the Biggest lover of shopping...once coupons were cut we were on a mission! We go upstairs to the home section right to the outdoor department. And there it was...the Webber Grill. He was like a five year old in a Sears toy department seeing his first bike! I think it took 15 minutes to get the grill rung up & he was ready to shop . It took about an hour in half for my parents and I to do our shopping & he was ready to go home. Back then the grills were put together so customers could take them right off the floor. When we arrived home, I took the grill out & placed it off the kitchen on the porch. My Dad was a firm believer of no charcoal fluid. My job was always ( we had a hibachi table top grill) to gather broken twigs & pine cones. He would arrange rolled up news paper tightly than layer the twigs & pine cones. Once the fire was ready he came out with a platter of meat ( steak, hamburgers, hot dogs) he had prepared in the morning before our field trip I made salad, corn on the cob, potato salad. My Mom set up the plates, condiments, did desert. She was a great baker but abit of a challenge cooking food. Another time another story. That night was the start of the Curran love affair for the Webber Grill in our house for years. Every night from March till the first snow fall we used the grill Even during storms if we lost electricity we used it ( eventually I became the grill master with his tutolidge from a chair, we also got directors chairs at the sale too). He just loved that grill & had such pride & joy creating delicious meals for my Mom & I, family, friends & neighbors.
I remember so many wonderful memories of him & his beloved grill, today with this beautiful weather on his Birthday, I think I'm gonna start using it again. I don't have anymore tears of the loss of my Dad. I just have beautiful memories I hold close to my Heart. God gave us Memories so we can smell the Flowers in Winter. Today, I can smell his Flowers & use his grill to make my own Memories without tears.

Something to Think about ..💕💐🌷🪻🌹💐💕

If I could live my life over again, I would have gone to bed to rest when I felt sick, instead of pretending that the earth would stop if I wasn't at work for a day.

I would have burned out the pink candle carved like a rose instead of letting it melt in the pantry.

I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over even if there is a stain on the carpet and the sofa needs cleaning .

I would have eaten popcorn in the "good" room and wouldn't have worried so much about dust when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather telling stories from his youth.

I would never have insisted on driving with the car windows down on a beautiful summer day just because my hair was freshly styled and fixed.

I would have been lying on the meadow with my head on the grass.

I would have cried and laughed less watching TV and more watching life.

But, most of all, to have a second chance at life, I would cherish every moment, I would really look at it.

I would live it.

I wouldn't worry so much about petty and small things.
. . Don't worry about those who don't like you, or rather, you shouldn't care who does what. Instead, let's cherish the friends we have and the people who love us.

Let's think about the things God has blessed us with. And what we do every day to improve our mind, body, soul, emotions.

Peonies Season is almost over. One of my Dad's favorite flowers. Years back he was so excited ordering Peonie bulbs from a catalogue ( he so wanted to be the Cape Cod version of Martha Stewart ) I planted them all around in our gardens. The next year, he went around with a gathering basket ( like Martha's, I get it for him for Christmas, he was so excited) cutting them to make arrangements for inside. After he was done arranging them in my parents Lenox, Beleck, Fenton vases he put them all over He was so proud of himself. My Mom was over the Moon to have his flowers all around...until Dinner.As we were sitting at our Martha inspired table landscape and delicious dinner he made, a parade of Ants proceeded to invade our dinner and all over the house. You see, we don't use provided or chemicals in our yard and gardens cause of our dogs, cats, wildlife and our water well. So, that was it for cutting Peonies in our garden instead we put them around outside on the tables on the patio, pieces and yard to enjoy.
Such sweet memories of my Dad and his love for my Mom and Flowers. He always cut out roses for her during the season
